I apologize for the confusion I've created in this KZbin video. For clarification, the copyright claim was placed on the drawing of a man with a hat and glasses, and those were the videos I was asked to delete (I was not able to show it for copyright reasons). However, my videos of the Morgan Freeman drawing are still up. I destroyed the Morgan Freeman drawing partly because I was upset and didn't want to face another potential copyright claim on it as well. Lesson learned...you are a jaw dropping amazing coloured pencil artist and an inspiration to thousands. So you had a bump in your road. You stood up, brushed yourself off and did what you had to do! Very Aussie behaviour. I'm a realistic coloured pencil artist living in Melbourne Australia, so I get it!! I am currently striving to get to a "Hyper-realistic" level with coloured pencils and I think your work is totalling mind blowing. 😮 one minute in and I’m full of questions! I had no idea that you are not allowed to use a copyrighted image as reference, your drawing is unique, yours that you work on it’s not like it is the copyrighted image (even if it is exactly like the copyrighted image) so is this what the world has come to? But AI can use any copyrighted picture we want on the same grounds? This is outrageous! I’m shocked! I’m so sorry for your loss, I totally feel for you 😔 You are an amazing artist, subscribed 🙌🏼

@@Neeyellowart ​ of course you have my full support, and if you don’t mind, I’d like to share this video with my art group to raise awareness. My first reaction was like: “WTAF!” It’s so wrong what KZbin has done to you (or allowed it to be done) and I’m actually getting quite upset over this injustice. If this capitalist crap cripples an artist like yourself, I don’t understand how the world even works! Where are the priorities? How does a person looking at your art thinks: “oh, ama fudge him up good, I have the rights to the reference photo he used! Who cares if he can do magic with a few pencils? Who cares if he’s educating people around the world how to create something meaningful, something priceless?” Just… how?? Maybe their attention span consists of a 30 second tiktok video? Little comfort in this whole ordeal that your art is so good that they actually claimed copyrights over it. On some level it’s like the biggest compliment you can get, but. This cost you a LOT of money (beside this bs claim, the materials you have used creating it - I mean these pencils’ price is insane and you will use up entire pencils on one portrait if not more of each of your main colours, the tool cost, the paper cost, the lighting, the camera and so on.) Cost you a LOT of your time (months even!!) And finally: the emotional cost. Which is arguably the priciest part of this scandalous event and the very thing I can relate to the most (even though my art is nothing compared to yours.) A couple years ago I drew a photorealistic spider man portrait. I was about 80 hours in when someone close to me looked at it and said: “you are just a copycat, anyone can do what you do.” Long story short, this comment got to me so bad that I chucked the drawing out from my balcony and I got into something very similar to an existential crisis - for months… Please continue with your pencil drawings, I love watching your videos and tutorials 🙏🏼❤️

I never knew there was such thing as copyright for pictures. It's sad that you had to destroy it, especially because it looked so good and realistic. I would've loved to see the finished product. Still, it looks very good!

Soo, I have a question and I wanna ask you, 'cause you, well, are the best at hyper realistic drawings. I do great with black and white portraits but I'm just starting with colors now and...I did the mistake you keep warning us about, I definetly pressed the pencils too hard, and flattened the tooth of the paper😅 Basically ruining a part of the drawing, so...the question is, is there any way I can save it? I tried erasing and I'm layering the colors patiently like you always say, and it's going...okay? I guess, but...I'm not going to get the result I would've gotten if I didn't do that mistake, am I? 😂

No way would i give into copy right bullshitery when the picture is everywhere and ive seen other artists copy stuff and they don't seem to have to much of a problem🤨 One thing i bet they didnt tell you is that copyrights can be different from country to country unfortunately i think as a westerner we have the shit end of the stick😢

The claim was made by the person who took the photo, I uploaded a drawing which I used the reference photo that had a copyright claim on it. :)
