Sometimes, while watching, I would get impatient and fast forward. Then, I'd get blown away by how amazing it looked and wonder, "how tf did we get here?", and I would have to go back. This taught me a valuable lesson. One must slow their roll to achieve this level of greatness..patience is key! Thank you!

extremely good work. unfortunately i will never understand why aspiring artists chose the ugliest subjects. i can do this too, but i would never draw something disgusting like a diseased homeless person from the sewers of mumbai. i guess this is why i will never be a real "artist" lol
@KaRmAs.Corner
@KaRmAs.Corner Жыл бұрын
@@cagneybillingsley2165 Art is a reconstruction of reality, not an imitation. After years of practice, after years of observing nature and reality, you simply get bored or hit a limit. You get a feeling that the simple representation obtained by imitating nature, life and cultural life - in their most exterior aspect - is not enough if you want to find the deeper nature of things. So you find new ways, through different mediums and different types of expressivity, to communicate the more inner aspects of the human being, human life, nature. In this search, some found meaning even in the simple things, situations or in the ugly. We live not only in beauty, but in an ugly world, too. Not only in a good world but in an evil one, as well. Harmony means the equilibrium of the contraries. If you don't have two opposing elements, you cannot have harmony or feel the beauty of harmony. Painting a homeless person from the sewers of Mumbai is the same as painting a king for an artist. They both have a story, s life experience and they are equal in value.

@@cagneybillingsley2165 I don’t normally comment on YT videos but I saw this comment and was absolutely disgusted… I just had to respond. 1. The person he is drawing is Morgan Freeman, not just anyone. 2. As previously described in another comment, the world is made up of various types of people, ranging from “beautiful” to “ugly”… 3. Artists love a challenge. I love trying to blend skin colours, trying to contour the faces, and add the wrinkles. I love trying to challenge myself, constantly learning and improving.

What I love about your blending technique is showing how intricate the deeper brown skin tones are. Shades of brown, yellow, pink, red... etc. It's the No. 1 reason POC have a hard time matching foundation and other cosmetics. Often the hues of what is considered "brown" aren't just 1-2 dominant colors... it is a complex palette of colors which adjust across the skin tone and look different under certain lights. Awesome job! Stay blessed

t's amazing that the white pencil stays on top of all these layers. Me when I draw with a white Polychromos crayon then I can only mix layers and slightly brighten the color but only slightly. However, I have plain, cheap paper, but does paper matter so much? The white crayon is applied on layers and not on bare paper.

How do you keep a consistent tone when just doing small areas at a time? Do you put base layer over the whole face (it must be VERY light if you do I can't tell from this video)? Do you use a B&W tone picture also or just the color? Amazing work!
