Why I Disappeared | EP 23

I disappeared for a while. I went back to high school, got sober, traveled, decided to quit KZbin, and learned a lot. Hope you enjoy this lil update :)

I appreciate the honest update about everything that's been going on! Some personal thoughts as some random person on the internet who finished the episode (you can choose to ignore this haha) I feel like there is a lot of pressure that you're placing on yourself to post content, and that seems to cause alot of stress, hence the need for weed to possible release tension and enjoy the moment - I find that in these cases it's easier to completely step away and reflect to understand the reason as to "why" we choose to do something. Things like the paradox of choice where too many options leads us to choose none of them. At this point, it kind of seems like you don't enjoy posting content anymore, and it's moreso like a job to get by? A lot of the topics brought up in this podcast are things that trained therapists help address and that can help people heal. There's this guy named Dr. K who streams therapy content on twitch and addresses the feelings of being lost in your 20s and the paradox of choice/indecision. I highly recommend watching some of his videos if you end up reading this comment lol. I guess the thing with lifestyle vlogging and/or podcasts is unless someone defines a theme of "self-help" or "education/finance" it's hard to anchor down and find something to post because the sky is the limit. Previously, it seems like your motivator was to promote tourism to Alaska, but now it's just entertainment and life talks, which are hard to pinpoint every time. Annemarie, this is my first time watching one of your episodes and I'm absolutely blown away at how we are practically going through the same thing. I'm 28, (f)unemployed millenial, currently working on being sober, and have temporarily "disappeared" from my audience to self-reflect and be introspective (if any of my audience is reading this, sorry for not being transparent enough 😅). I have so much respect and admiration for your level of vulnerability. Really interesting what you were saying about your body knowing when it’s done with something. I see a running theme with weed smokers including myself where at some point the fun happy bliss turns into paranoia and anxiety I had to quit too after smoking 3 ounces a month for years but you’re right it does get easier in healthier I feel better and I don’t crave it anymore kudos to you and good luck on your journey girl!😊

I don't have my own place, so I don't pay rent. I don't spend a lot of money. I haven't had a job outside of KZbin in the last years besides substitute teaching. I do need to be making more than I have been, hopefully with KZbin earnings as I come back! 🙏🏼
