It feels so real, like you're actually being yourself without all the dramatics. I relate to this on so many levels, I only have 2 people I consider real friends and I even have a hard time trusting them. That's how I am. I have 1 BFF, My husband, My parents and then acquaintances. I only trust my family and my BFF. It really sucks how having friends that do bad things ruin your views on friendships in the future. But I'm 100% okay with my situation I'm happier with my tiny circle than I was with a bunch of "friends", there was always so much drama and negativity in a large group.

On the bright side, not having a social life actually saves you money. That's how I paid off some debts. I only have one friend who actually does not mind chilling at my house and we pig out and watch movies etc. I don't have much friends either. Was in an abusive relationship as well. Now I rather just have peace of mind. My son keeps me busy anyways. But I do fear one day growing old and be so alone that when I die no one will noticed I have died and they don't find my body for days. Dang lol

I feel the exact same way! I love staying home. We have 2 cats and a dog. I go for a few dog walks a day and other than that I feel really content to stay home. I love staying home. I could occupy myself all day at home. I've had too many people mistreat me in life. I've realized there is something about me that makes people feel comfortable treating me poorly. I think I'm too kind and open up too fast. People see it as a weakness and eventually start to try and use me or treat me poorly. So I've now cut off a lot of people. I only spend my time with the people I absolutely want to. I try to tell myself I don't need to always worry about others feelings and being "polite" by going out. I'm worrying about me more now.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that feels this way! People always try to make me feel like I'm crazy or that something is wrong with me because I don't have any friends at all, and at this point I don't even want friends either. I'm happy by myself and my mom is my best friend. I've never had good experiences in any friendship or relationship so far (maybe it is me but I'm happy so whatever) so I just avoid friendships as well. Sam, I really appreciate you being so real about this situation as I too am the same way. I'm a full time college student and a full time employee and I would just rather be at home chilling, cuddling my dogs, watching a show marathon than hanging out. I've been this way bc I was put through a lot through out high school and college to the point I'm tired of drama and can't stand to go near it. I'm a pretty shy and quiet person as well so it's hard for me to open up and feel comfortable around people as it is but being put through all that for 6 years just made me close myself even more. But I truly enjoy the time I have to myself. I don't feel lonely at all, I enjoy my own company and when I didn't work and I was on summer vacation, I would literally just stay at home for days straight lmfao. So relatable. A few years ago, I was eating lunch with my "friends" (only 2 were my actual trusted friends) but I really liked all of them. Anyway, two of them were trying to see who could eat the quickest, and they kept but their food on other people's plate and then I picked some and ate it and my best friend said, "Ciara don't eat that or you'll get fat" (I didn't care about that because she didn't mean it in a horrible way) but then this girl who I was friends with whispered to my best friend said "She already is". I can relate to this video so much. When you've been hurt in the past, it can be hard to open up. I'll be nice and whatever, but if I think they start getting close to me, I tend to back away. Not that I do the like them or get to know them, but I don't want to hurt or get hurt. I make excuses all the time to stay home and it takes a lot to get me to go out and be social. A lot of people aren't worth unnecessary drama and I just have my boyfriend of almost 2 years, my best friend, parents and siblings and that is perfectly okay to me. It's how I prefer to be and I'm a huge homebody, it's just comfortable to me. My main best friend in High school decided to randomly stop wanting to hangout with me during the following year after we graduated and she has a "new" best friend who was so much younger than us and she would always hangout with her and talk to her and never want anything to do with me and I'm ALWAYS the person to let things go and forgive people even when they don't deserve it and that went on for about 8 months and I finally realized that I just need to confront her and not bother with her anymore. In high school and the summer after we graduated we hung out almost everyday and spent so much time and had so many memories together..There's more too this but this was the last straw. Ever since then which was about 3 years ago, I've had a much better life not having to deal with the drama she always had and try and force a friendship. Oh and you mentioned money.. this was a problem for me too. I have had so many bad friendships throughout my life and I'm always the friend that gives me and never receives (I'm not talking about gifts or anything) more like symbolic of being how a friend should be rather than physically and emotionally taking away from another person like everyone usually always does to me (because I use to let them). Because of this I don't have any friends and DON'T WANT any. I'm tired of the whole routine that kept happening over and over again throughout my life so in the meantime my mom had become my best friend and I literally only hangout with my boyfriend (of 5 years). I can only trust four people as well (mom, dad, brother, and boyfriend). I also have a few acquaintances such as people I work with but I never hangout with them outside of work... I will sometimes text a few people I was friends with in high school with but it never becomes anything more than that because I rather not go out and just stay home alone or be with my family or boyfriend. Everyone always says you need friends but no you don't. Some people may need friends more than others but I don't crave or need that relationship with anyone. Being 22 I should be out with "friends" on the weekends and having fun but that doesn't seem fun to me... being with people who I know will never do the things that those "friends" did to me is a much better way of spending my time.

I can not even explain how bad my "bestie" hurt me. I was soooo depressed for one month and just cryed every single day!(no joke) I was on tumblr, crying all nigth long. She was hanging out with the rest of the squad while i was thinking of killing myself. She actually ment the world to me! She was more than a sister to me! GUYS! PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR HAPINESS IN PEOPLE! Even if you thing your friendship is perfect, believe me! Mine was the most amazing friendship!!!!!!!! I can not explain how much i loved this person, it's insane! But having that one moth depression made me see life differently! Made me understand everything! I am so glad that happend so i could understand life. Life is such an amazing place , but everything is temporary! You are the only one that can make you feel happy! I have lots of friends now, but i will never ever let someone get that close! I do not want to start again. You can not trust people. They can seem to be the best people you have ever met but one day, you are going to realise you were wrong. Family will always love you and understand you! Be thankful that God gave you a family. I'm really proud of you for saying that and opening up this kind of way. I'm not completely through the video yet but what you said so far is exactly me. I stay at home all day and I don't even mind. I could stay at home forever, I'm not that kind of person who has the need to go out a lot, well I basically never go out unless I have to. I used to have one best friend in school, and I went through so much shit involving bullying, hate etc and as you said we all have which is right. and now I'm basically on my own and I don't mind at all anymore, in the beginning it was hard because I felt so lonely but I wasn't strong? enough to change that but now I'm alone in a good way, I'm really bad at letting people in my life and I'm always making excuses because I just don't wanna hang out or leave the house or whatever, I was so suprised when you said that actually because I was always like why am I like this ? is there something wrong with me? is there something wrong with the way I see this type of things? but there is nothing wrong with it. there are more people out there who live it like this and It makes me feel so much more comfortable now. I related to this video so much. I'm the same way when it comes down to loving my home and my own company. Making friends is hard, because at the end of the day some of them are toxic and too much, plus they're competing with my own company. And it's very hard for someone to entertain me and I hate entertaining others. People are just toxic, or overwhelming and dishonest most of the time and it's very hard to find someone who's not like that. I have one friend and I've had her since day one and she's honestly the only person I need. We go out, stay home, and have fun. It's not something where I feel like I need to entertain if that makes sense. Watching this video is so refreshing because I found someone who I can genuinely relate to
