I really respect that you don't show your children. When I see people posting a pic of their newborn baby, I cringe so much and get so angry because they're opening the doors to potential evil energies (paedos are everywhere, or just negative attention - negative ppl are everywhere) negative attention could also come from jealous women who aren't able to get pregnant from fertility issues or not having a partner to raise the baby with. A baby is so precious, it needs to be protected from everyone except family & close friends - trust worthy people.

One day, they might grown up and hold the parent accountable for putting their life on social display. Good decision. This world is scary and I ve heard so many horror stories from friends etc and it is terrifying. A friend of a friend s child was kidnapped from her school all because her mother had a habit of “checking in” on Facebook. I used to be so jealous of girls posting their relationships online and with time I learned that it didn't mean they were happy or that their relationship was perfect. So I actually don't post my relationship online and I sometimes even avoid conversations in real life about my relationship because I want to keep it private. A year back, my boyfriend cheated on me with my very good girlfriend (I was the one who introduced her with him through his contact number) She did not like him from day first and she used to say I will show you his real face one day because he must be pretending to be a gentleman, in reality men are not that good. Wow, so "the bad/evil eye" is all around the world--I'm from Eastern Europe and we have it too, we just call it something that would translate as "spell" into English. And, as in Mexico, the superstitious people tie red strings around babies'wrists to protect them, or on pets' necks, especially puppies. Also, it is a good idea to show as little as possible of your private life, to avoid gossip and envy. I had colleagues richer than myself ask enviously how I could afford expensive vacations, and I had to replay sharply that I don't waste money like I know they do. Still, it left a bitter taste in my mouth because I paid it all myself, I was single, and I became even more private...

I used to have a best friend and tell her about my relationship issues, as i am a very anxious person and can see things a lot bigger than they are... He is the man of my life, and i noticed she never really liked when i talked about us, but this one time i had a breakdown she took the opportunity of me being weak to brainwash me into thinking i wasn't actually being loved.... And i had a huge problem arise out of this. After doing that she constantly tried to get info. About the issue. I used to always share my partner on social media, but when we broke up, I realized how unhappy I actually was in most of the pictures I had shared and I was posting as “cover up”. This is such a good video I was engaged and showed my partner on Facebook not excessively but people knew we were together. After we broke up it was very hard for me to tell others we no longer were tying the knot. After that experience I actually deleted all of my social media (almost 3 years ago). I have not been back since. I have a new boyfriend now and I refuse to make that same mistake with him and actually he is a way bigger catch then my ex fiancé.

I wish I had seen a video like this years ago. I was naive. I too was someone who not only posted but tagged my significant other. We were high school sweet hearts. Ten years together and five of those years, married . He was my best friend. I trusted him with my life. It was very surprising to find that alot of females I introduced him to added him on social media, some did not even add me. I was unsettled but continued to brush it aside. This July would have been our tenth year together. We are now separated. I was to only find out last year by divine miracle that he slept with so many of the women he met through me and connected with on social media. My friends, my friends' friend, my relatives, my relatives' friends. It came as a shock. It's also a miracle that I have partially recovered from the trauma. Protect your relationships people.

Great advice...also remember when people are jealous and envious of you they send you bad yuyu so that everything you are enjoying turns sour. I never told anyone not even my family members, who are extremely envious BTW, I had a boyfriend...and surprise I married well and they were shocked! I only have a FB but I don't really post anything personal...only pics of pretty countries and places we go to...never personal stuff, people don't know where we live or work and I hardly ever post pics of him. When you post personal things you give people the chance to make fun of you later if things go wrong and attract bad yuyu envious people are sending you. This is the "big sister talk" every person needs; male, female, or something else. I have always kept my romantic partners off or on the "downlow" on my social media. Limited PDA, limited romantic post (no tagging), and if a picture is posted we're with a group of friends and it's our circle. The most I do on Facebook is change my relationship status from "hidden" to "in a relationship" so people know I'm off the market. And I'm tempted to get rid of Facebook, it's not a classy platform.
