Why I Don't Talk About Autism In Europe

Sometimes people write to me and ask me to cover stories about autism that come out of Europe. And unless they are pretty straightforward things, having to do with crimes or celebrities, I usually don't.
Because I don't know anything about autism in Europe.
I can't comment intelligently about the use of psycho-analysis to treat autism in France, and I don't know enough to even reliably say whether sources that make it seem scary are honest or reputable.
I have no idea what should happen in Ireland politically now, on any question-- they are in a huge mess. How could I possibly know what signs someone should or should not be holding up at a protest there?
I don't like to write about compex issues that I don't know about or understand.
It's an autistic thing, I guess.
Or integrity.
A little of both.

I have a friend from Germany who probably has Asperger's, but he was never diagnosed because autism isn't such a public issue over there like it is here.

Well I live in Europe and it really can vary from a country to another.... for example France is really too late compared to other countries for autism and Asperger from what I've heard... but I'm not that well informed either... First Aspies were really handled in UK from what I've heard...
