This is the first year that I haven’t used my debit card. I feel so free. Lol. Now I charge everything, make payments as soon as the charges post, then rake in the rewards.

AS always, a great video. As you mentioned, I like having a debit card when I want to get cash At my supermarket. And RE the supermarket, I dropped my credit card in the parking lot (I still don't know how that happened) and by the time I realized it was missing, like 45 minutes later, someone had already charged thousands of dollars ON it!! Fortunately, since It was a credit card, I cancelled the card immediately and did not Lose any money. If it'd been a debit card, however, it would've instantly cleaned out my bank account and would've definitely caused some problems!!
@HonestFinance5 жыл бұрын
Ya for sure. Your debit card is protected too, but it’s much more of a hassle.

"If you're going to be spending money anyway, you might as well get the reward points..." What he's not telling you is that people who buy stuff for points typically spend more than people who don't. So, go ahead and spend that $100,000 to get $1,000 back in points if you want. Most people say they pay off their balances every month, but the statistics don't support that.

Debit Cars for ATM’s Cash for Gas Credit for everything else
@timelessmusicfamilymusic91753 жыл бұрын
If you travel it's best to carry a credit card & an ATM card. An ATM card is useless to anyone, but you, cause they need the pin number in order to get out cash💸. Keep those two separate. The credit card💳 in your wallet & the ATM at the hotel or where your staying. That way if one gets lost or stolen you still have the other one as backup💳💸👌

The only thing that I find wrong with the statement that Banks don't have good websites that is completely wrong. Every bank shows your balances in real time after every transaction. You can call your bank from the app that allows you to reach customer service faster. Because your a customer already you can accounts in the banks app see your statements. I agree I use both but I don't use my credit card online for anything. Online stores has their own protections. I bank with TD and I have a credit card with that bank as well and that the app is so helpful for me the past 10 years. I can transfer funds to my credit card with a simple transfer. Bank want the best webpages to do 24/7 banking. Maybe after a few years since this video and you hate your banks app maybe you should just change banks because a lot of banks want very good apps.

Do you have any videos on how to earn travel points with a credit card? Preferably a card I can use to pay for our wedding and then use the points to get a cheaper honeymoon.

Try the marriot bonvoy visa. They have very good signup bonuses . If you’re planning on paying interest from the wedding, I’d stay away because the points won’t replace the interest. Congrats though!!

@@Blitz3O2 if he always paid the balance and his card has no annual fee, then he did not pay more than using cash. CC make their money on either interest or annual fees. If you avoid both then there's nothing they can do to make money off you.

@@ld3534 You are a special kind of stupid. ALL CC transactions include a small fee of around 1% that goes strictly to the issuing bank. All good content, and extremely accurate until the CU part. I'm pretty sure you have not dealt with the larger, more progressive ones. It's a shame because I think that they're a viable alternative, but statements like this really keep people away from a local/viable/personal option that competes well. Sorry that you had a bad experience with CU's.
