I think with moral arguments people tend to leave out gods knowledge . If God knows all true propositions in the past present and future tense and in all contex . Then he know all true prescriptive truths also . Gods good nature and knowledge is then simply reflected in his commands in prescribing what humans ought to do or not.. I would also say since morality is about prescriptive truths that it's source must be a prescriber

So first off, there are moral theories which are purely descriptive. But even granting prescriptive accounts of morality, one could grant that there is a prescriber in some sense without thinking that the prescriber is personal. And if you say that the prescriber is personal, then there's going to be the difficulty of explaining how your moral theory is a realist theory. After all, if I prescribe some action for you, that doesn't give you an objective moral obligation to do anything. So merely positing a prescriber isn't going to get you very far.

@@faithbecauseofreason8381 Which is why I believe the prescriber would need to be all knowing Because an all knowing being would have the best reasons for you to follow their prescriptions

@@faithbecauseofreason8381 I dont understand for example why even tho god is a subject . Why his knowledge about morality would be subjective yet his knowledge about descriptive truths is objective

@ramadadiver8112 well if we understand a subject as a person or conscious agent, then I think it should be pretty clear why God is a subject.
