You complete it. Second, you are the most naturally hilarious, interesting and relatable KZbinr...ever. The vast majority of people cannot do what you do. Yeah, you had some great connections, but you created your own amazing content and no one can discredit you. That's all you. Seriously, you have a gift. I went to college for a year and a half. Realized it wasn't for me. Like you, went because that's "what you're supposed to do". Now, I'm a firm believer that most people shouldn't go to College straight out of high school. Most kids don't even know who they are yet, much less their passions and what they want in life yet. Until you know that, college is useless. I work with so many people who have degrees and massive student debt and work at a job that doesn't require anything.

I think young adults are put under too much pressure in relation to "going to the best school." "Finding the perfect degree." "Getting that glamorous job." You cannot be perfect in an imperfect world. For people in their 20's freaking out about the future you have plenty of time. Decided what you want to do and when you want to do it on YOUR OWN TERMS. Make the world adaptable to what you want and not what other people think you should have or do. Many parents I think live vicariously through their children or in some cases honestly want the best for them but don't let their children discover what is best for them in their own way and at their own pace if that makes sense to anyone.

In high schools, college was my biggest aspiration. In my sophomore year of high school I was buying books about different colleges, scholarships, and majors. My head was always thinking about going away to college and all the amazing things that I would do there. I would be more involved, I would have so many more friends, I would be outgoing, I would study abroad. College was supposed to be the time of my life. Now I'm already 4 weeks into my first year of college and I just feel emotionally drained. I have no friends, I'm stressed out about classes, and I just don't feel like myself. The only thing that's motivating me to get through each week are the weekends I get to go home. I'm freaking out that I made the biggest mistake of my life but I don't know what I'll do with my life If I drop, and I'm worried that I'll disappoint my parents if I do. I know are stories aren't similar but listening to what you went through and also reading through all the other comments really helps because now I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

First semester and freshman year of college (last year) in general was really hard for me too. I will say tho that my friend two years ahead of me told me my junior year that her first semester was so horrible but that it got so much better and that’s what I held onto and got me through. At first it can be tough, it’s a huge adjustment, but don’t let that get you down. So many others are struggling, in one of my classes we shared all of our insecurities and everyone ended up crying and in a group hug because we realized we weren’t alone. Find a club or group that you can bond with and it will help a lot especially friend wise because then you’ll already know you have shared interests and something to talk about. And if you realize college isn’t for you or that now is not the right time, that’s ok too. I had to leave school, the place I love with the people I love, a month ago due to health issues interfering with my studies and it’s given me a lot of perspective just being able to step away from it. I changed my major because I go to a polytechnic Institute so it’s super dry sometimes but I found a more creative way to pursue the same end goal and I’m soooo excited to return-even tho the first year was really hard and I even failed a class. You will be ok and don’t feel bad about asking for help, getting help was one of the best things I did. Good luck! ❤️

same, im currently in my third week of second semester as a freshman. i am miserable, unmotivated and i honestly just want to drop out. i've always done good in school, and going to college has always been the plan. im a first-generation college student, so i feel like i have so much responsibility to get a degree and finish college. i live far away from my family and friends too, so i only get to see them during winter and summer break, which is so hard, because i really haven't met any good friends here either. i see that your comment was made 5 months ago, so i am wondering what you are doing now, did the rest of the semester go better? whatever you choose/chose to do, i hope u'll succeed

I got through my first semester of college and because of the reasons you spoke of as well as a few more I didn't sign up for spring semester and went home. I realized that school is obtainable but it doesn't have to take away from your life or how you feel. I've had many struggles with my parents and how they feel about it but at the end of the day the people who love you will support you and help you when you need them. If you aren't happy don't be afraid to try new things, it's your life and you should live it for yourself not others. College isn't going anywhere, you can leave and go back if you end up thinking that's what's right for you. Don't hold yourself back for others! Believe me you're not alone and we are all going through this together!

This video made me so emotional, I have never related to someone so much in my life. I am currently going through the stage where I have no idea wtf im doing with my life, but one thing ive always known is that I don't want to go to college. Like you, Ive had everyone and anyone, especially friends parents and my own, go off at me and lecture me about how I need to go to college otherwise im not going to get any where in life. It has taken such a toll on me that I literally don't leave my room, I don't talk to my friends/family anymore, and I just cant wait for it to be night again so I can sleep and escape from it all for a while. My anxiety is through the roof because im always just waiting for someone to tell me how much of a failure I am again, and I wake up every morning wishing that I have woken up in another life where I am actually happy and comfortable with my own body and not anxious 24/7. I graduated last year (2017) in September, and ill be 19 next month (July), and so many people have expected me to already have my whole future planned out. I hate being in a rush, I feel in life you have to enjoy every moment you can, if you are just working and working and working, life will just fade away so quickly and you'll wonder where all the time has gone. Anyways, now im just being philosophical and rambling on. I just wanted to say thank you for this video, for the first time I feel like im not alone in this world, and I am so happy you managed to create a better life for yourself, with the help of your brothers of course. It gives me hope that the same can happen for me as well, I guess you never know what the future holds right?

I am 26 and have to say that I’ve struggled with school, self image and the whole “correct adult lifestyle” living bullshit and after watching your video, it NEEDS to be spread. Young adults and kids in school need to hear that it’s okay to do things outside the norm and that college, yes, it’s great! But as I’m sitting here 20 weeks pregers, I still strongly believe that school isn’t for everyone or the best quote ever: “School isn’t a place for smart people”. You are so creative, unique and relatable and I’m so happy to see you on KZbin and to be able to watch and literally get this shit you say compared to some KZbinrs that make it a goal to “ Fake it till you make it” KEEP IT UP BC YOURE AMAZING! ♥️♥️♥️

Every 30 seconds in this video all I could say was ME ME ME (in shanes voice haha). But other than that, this truly hits home. I was in college last year, took out loans, living the "good life" and thought everything was gonna be alright. I was totally wrong. I too run away from anything that feels real and it just makes me a little more better that someone felt like that too. Thank you for this, Morgan. Thanks for people like you reminding us we all have different timelines. There is hope.

I'm 19 and struggling through community college! I relate so hard to everything! I don't wanna be there, I don't really care about my major, I have made exactly 0 friends going, AND ITS ALL BECAUSE OF MIDDLE AGED MOMS who say I will be nothing. I work at the same job I had in high school and all I do is cry. Everything is great.

Katie community college is hard. Mine was harder than the university I went to after but sometimes it just takes one teacher to make that difference. I didn’t have too many friends at com college either but did make a lot at the university I went to after. I hope it works out for you. That paper does open doors to potential better jobs. Screw those who think you can’t do it. You can achieve your goals. I’m rooting for you to succeed at your future plans!

Personally the problem that I faced was that I was a suicidal teenager. I didn’t think that I was going to make it until my next birthday, so when people were applying to colleges I was trying to figure out how to live till the next day. I had amazing grades, and could have gone anywhere, but I didn’t have the willpower to apply to good colleges. So I applied to a community college during instant admissions, got immediately accepted and lived my life. I finally got the help I needed and now I’m married and happy. But that’s my story or whatever.

I've been binging yours and Ryland's and Shane's videos for a few weeks now and while I love all of them, this one really stuck out to me. I'm 23 and I've been to four different colleges. Dropped out of all of them, some more than once. The last time I took a class was probably two years ago. I've come to the conclusion that school just isn't for me, but I definitely understand where you're coming from in regards to family friends continually questioning you about your education choices. It eventually dies down, but there's always someone who loves to bring it up. In talking to strangers, I've actually found that most people agree with me and say school isn't for everyone; you should just do what makes you happy. I'm really glad you've found people that bring out the best in you and make you happy. It shows. Thank you for being open about it as well. It makes people like me feel better.

I feel like I have no choice but go to school. And I don’t even make enough money to go to a nice one. So I go to a community college in my small town. And I really hate it. And that’s why I’ve lagged so hard on finishing. I’m 23 years old so I’m older then you. And I still live with my parents. I have a job and I go to school but I don’t make enough money to love on my own. And all my friends have moved away or have gotten married. So I don’t even have friends anymore. And then the guy I have a thing with is starting to show disinterest in me. So... yeah. I feel like a failure. Like no one cares about me. And like my life is always gonna be this. (I know it’s not and I’m trying to make it better but it’s just how I feel). I hate college but I need it because working minimum wage is bullshit and I can’t do it for the rest of my life. I need to get out of this house and this town. But I’m scared I never will. Schools always been hard for me I’ve always hated it but I have to keep going because I really feel like I have no other choice in life right now

hey morgan i know you'll never see this but i just gone done watching this video and i just wanted to tell you how much it means to me. i can completely relate to your story about never feeling like you're in the right place and about how life comes crashing down right when you think it's going really well. when you said you cried the whole way on your way to college and the whole way home i started tearing up because that's literally what i did on the bus to and from my high school for the last 5 months. it was so awful going to a place where, like you said, there were 3000 kids and they were all the same and if you weren't like them you were basically trash. my family had to move out of our really amazing townhome 6 months ago because we couldn't afford it and we moved into this awful place and it never felt right and still doesn't but your story really made me feel less alone in where i am and who i am. thank you so much for sharing your story. it honestly made me cry because i am so grateful that someone who i look up to on youtube has a story similar to mine and it makes me feel like i'm not alone in feeling supremely disappointed in where life took me. your story gives me hope that one day my life will change for the better like yours did.

beautifully spoken. you may think i'm totally kidding, but i'm not. school is not for everyone, and that's okay. you deserve happiness, and if that means not going to college, then that's fine! Not everyone is going to understand, because going to college has turned into a social norm, and not going is very stigmatized. But you're supported and loved by your family, friends, and followers, and we support you and all of your endeavors.
