As an Italian American girl i feel conflicted, part of me wants to be proud of my profile and the other part just wants to refine it a bit. I always feel a bit disappointed when girls dont rock their humps, bumps or whatever. However, as long as society holds women to impossible beauty standards I am all for anyone getting surgery. Life's short, and we deserve to feel beautiful!
@march91774 жыл бұрын
I have a bump and I honestly like it. The prettiest girl I met in college had a bump too. Everyone thought she was gorgeous and she was. It's all about the overall harmony of the features. I tried photoshop to change my nose to diff celebrity ones out of curiousity and it looked terrible. Made me realize that my own nose is the ideal for my face. I'm sure that's the case for you as well.
@leoninenoble4 жыл бұрын
It's really kind of illogical to judge the bump itself, all your features work together to create a unique & beautiful face, so if someone is otherwise beautiful and still has a bump, it's just contributing to that great face lol I have a small one and know I would look weird without it. It works with my face. I think people need to stop being hyperfocused on one particular feature of the fsce and instead see it in its whole.
@Thisissilly2224 жыл бұрын
Phoenix Fresh i feel like you should probably change the “society hold women” because it’s actually all genders that have standards placed on them and not just women. And I personally hate my nose bump because it just doesn’t work with my face. I literally look like a witch because I have a long chin which is also called a “witch’s chin” lol... so yea it just makes me look horrible. I want to fix my chin but there’s no actual surgery for it, I’ve searched but there’s really nothing similar to my chin, I also have chubby cheeks so my whole face is just really bad.

I understand people who want to change their nose regardless if someone else thinks it’s pretty and that’s great - if that makes you feel more beautiful than you do you. But I personally love that ethnic nose look! I don’t know why I just think people who have that have such a unique look that when I see them I just get this really "cool" vibe, you know? It made a huge difference to my confidence short-term, but I still find there are some self-esteem issues that no amount of filler will be able to fix. It might be a diff shape from the lady in the video, but still, I don't personally think having features that are not the standard is a flaw. Some features, such as her nose are even ethnic features (common within certain ethnicities) and in my opinion, changing a ethnic feature is changing one's phenotype history. When you change stuff relating to your race, or ethnicity, you change part of who you are. Well, that's ok. People can change if they want to. However, they have no right to act proud of who they are and where they came from if they deny parts of their ancestry for the sake of fitting in and being like everyone else.

I would never try this because I actually like having a bump on my nose. I'm of mixed ancestry and I'm not going to change my ethnic features to fit a particular beauty standards. I rather be someone who creates a new beauty standard...or more ideally, everyone embraces their features (as long as the features dont affect the health and ability to survive). Plus, my nose actually looks good on my face, even if it's not a Hollywood nose. A "ideal" nose would prob look horrible on my face. Some noses are just made to fit with some faces. When people seek features like others, they often end up with disharmonious faces. Imagine in the future, a beautiful woman with a bumpy nose becomes super famous and bumpy noses become a trend...I will roll my eyes so hard that they'll fall backwards. Watch this become a thing like the way freckles became a thing smh. If this happens, I called it.

I can relate to you... i wanna share my story...i have these thick lips... when the beauty standard in my country is having a small or thin lips.. They bullied me verbally..and i was insecure i thought i was so ugly... But now this lips are becoming a trend... like kardashians did a lip job And i started to feel. I am not that ugly..even some ppl kept saying i have a nice pair of lips... now i am proud for my feature...you were so right.. 😊

@@afizaaulia1949 same happened with me....when I was in high school my aunt used to tease me that u have such big lips and flat nose...many people have called me Chinese/Nepali (in my country they call u Chinese/Nepali to make fun if u if u have flat nose and small eyes....even though I have average eye size and semi hooded eye)....I thought of rhinoplasty but then read that almost 48% cases of rhinoplasty are fail and even lead to breathing problems so cancelled the idea.....but now I feel confident of whatever I look like bcz when I started living in girls hostel many complimented me that u don't have perfect eye,nose,lips but everything looks good altogether... I don't know how that affected me but I really feel that all that unconventional parts suit my face overall and I look good...... lastly I'll say that our generation is generous in comparison to last generations when it comes to make someone feel confident about their looks

That’s kind of different. Because she was born like that. I broke my teeth when I was younger and have to get them fixed. I believe that’s how God intended her to look. +1982evanthia Not positive on that, but I think one advantage is that it is not permanent. :)
@kashmalik41666 жыл бұрын
Yes, thats why rhinoplasty doctors advise people with noses with dorsal humps to just go through with rhinoplasty.
@rachaeld77636 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t cost more if you consider downtime + possibility of botching. If they fck up with fillers there’s a reversal serum. Not so with breaking bones and sawing them down and leaving scars and bruises for months.
@NicosW0rld6 жыл бұрын
1982evanthia people with rhinoplasty have to go back for checkups and overtime the nose will shift and change with age so they need to get it fixed. It’s expensive
@emmastone87794 жыл бұрын
My nose is EXACTLY like hers (an exact replica actually), on my birthday I’m planning on getting filler too. I’ve been thinking about this for a very long time, ever since I was 13-14 which is pretty sad but that’s just how it is. I should love myself the way I am, I know, but I don’t unfortunately, and besides, I deserve to feel beautiful & happy in my own skin, is that really such a crime? I don’t like how much it’s looked down upon, I understand we should all love ourselves the way we are but at the end of the day we’re all insecure about something and we would be happier if that insecurity(/ies) wasn’t there. You really shouldn’t judge. I only have 1 life, and I intend to live it happily. I want to minimise the amount of insecurities I have so I can live a happier, more positive life. Pretty people have privilege in the sense that people are more likely to do things for them, & they have that whole effortless thing going on, where it doesn’t matter what they look like, they look great, they don’t have to think about their looks that often, they don’t have to put a lot of effort in as much as someone like me, it would be nice to not have to put so much effort in to look good. When I look good I feel good, I just wanted to say that because some people think all I care is what people think, which is true to an extent, but I care what I think too, the most actually, ah I’m rambling at this point, idek what I’m talking about anymore. Okay well... goodbye, farewell.
