Cathy made you a masterpiece of a guitar. The attention to detail in the guitar is flawless. As for the Epiphone on the headstock, it's your guitar man you can have anything you want to be put on the headstock. I have recently ordered a guitar from Cathy and I hope I am as happy with my guitar as you are with your guitar. Keep making your great videos.

That Epiphone headstock inlay is actually the older style epi. Inlay. Looks great!!

.022 uf 800v what I use for buckers. These are vintage 74 Sprague orange drops I picked up from Ebay.

I finally get it! A luthier is free to custom build you a guitar with logos, even one like the official brand. You get better for way less money in a private guitar.

Wow that guitar looked great earlier in the week and now it sounds great too. I'm not much of a metal head but I bet that guitar can spill out some Peter Green and Gary Moore Blues. Beautiful guitar. sweet guitar as always brotha! we cant forget about gary moore having an influence on this iconic masterpiece as well.... when peter green had it all 4 knobs were amber...then gary moore bought the guitar from peter and put the 2 bottom gold with silver buttons to help him on a dark stage(if i remember correctly from a 5watt world fim about it)....

That all depends. Chibson is not a brand. It is a slang term. The necks very from manufacturer to manufacturer. And from request.

Mike, that guitar is an amazing work of art and I like all the differences as compared to the original Epiphone Greeny. I'll even go as far to say that I like this one better than the original Gibson Greeny! That is a whole lotta guitar for just $600.

@@FultonStreetBeats so true, I don’t think a lot of people realize how lucky they have it these days with all the choices of quality instruments for a good price. When I started back in the 1970s we had only Gibson and Fender and anything else was considered junk.

Kudos to Cathy for such amazing work on this fine guitar,chibsons will continue to gain popularity ,as long as the quality is this good,reports of good guitars coming from all sellers, far outweighs the few bad reviews these days,trolls expecting guitars, that are in stock and off the shelf,to not have any problems is a joke,budget guitars from other brands, have just as many problems and need work too,your just not going to find a better mod platform,then you can get with a chibson,why not buy a firefly or a Harley Benton, because I have,and even my elite FFLP with Seymour Duncan that I love,is not as good as my chibson standard LP,that’s just a fact, and for the same price.

The better “greeny’s” imo, were the 2000’s gibson gary moore signatures. They just had that SOUL in them! Listen to Parisienne walkways if you would like an example!

You did it right playing to the strengths of Chinese manufacturers. They have been making furniture longer than they've been making guitars. They have good mahogany and maple. Properly sourced and aged. I'm sure its as toneful as any real Gibson. But I would never touch their alder or swamp ash. Cathy does good work with good materials. Gleeson does as well. I have the same Gleeson Angus Young SG as you and its one of the best made Chibsons you'll find. No doubt when the wood and the build are right these can become as good as any guitar. I def feel that necks are still a peril. This is a new skill for Chinese builders that they have not yet mastered. No matter how good the guitar, neck imperfections can cause great compromise. I got lucky with mine. I assume they got yours right. Did you have to press them? Also your finish looks amazing. Possibly the best I've seen on a Chibson to date. Did you make any special requests on the finish? They do seem to be elevating the standard quickly.

Mike quick question? Are you the first one to get a full blown Custom where you don't have to do any upgrades? I believe if your guitar is that good, people would be willing to easily spend $600 vs $2-300 for a normal guitar and get a Custom Chibson vs spending thousands for a Gibson. I know I would anyway. Congrats to you. Your "Greeny" looks and sounds awesome!!!!!

No I'm not the first. People have Very nice Chinese customs built all of the time. Even custom logos with their name, etc... I have a custom being made now to my specs. The logo is not a name brand it's a custom design. Again it's spec'd out.
