So far, Cathy Zhong seems to be the best. I haven't been disappointed yet with her custom builds.

Definitely a good looking guitar and one I had considered. I THINK though I am going to go for the more traditional looking relic AFD model they have: "Orange Flame Top Relic WorkZebra Pickups No Pickguard Red Back Chrome Parts! Hard shell black electric box" It's $435 but it does have a case. Though the non-relic AFD looks good and at only $325 sounds like a steal, you can't even get the Epi for less than $700 I've been buying and selling stuff from Aliexpress for many years, so I remember the days of the plywood knockoffs with the shoddy electronics and the warped necks. Nobody really bought those so Gibson, Fender, ESP... They never even batted an eye. But I am really pleased to see quality Chinese instruments. Not because I don't want to buy American, but because I am hoping this brings the big names into line. I don't particularly care if I am buying a knockoff, I care that I am buying a quality instrument at a human price point.

With the chinese builders I find they always are missing at least one important aspect. If it's got a maple cap. It's missing the fret binding. If it has fret binding - It has a veneer...

man Ive listened to that Epiphone and it doesnt sound very authentic...The chibby is authentic...you can calll it fake all day but when you play it youll hear the quality

I don’t feel like swapping pickups, leveling frets, etc. I’d rather spend that time playing guitar. I get why people buy Chibson, I’m not knocking it. I’d just rather buy an Epiphone Les Paul that is set up amazing out of the box for $300-$500.
