My sister has always had apples products and most of her phones only lasted about 2 years and I have had the Samsung galaxy s8 for three years now and it’s a really nice phone with pretty good camera quality and extra features that still works great

There’s an adaptor you can buy that has 2 separate ports for headphones and the charger so you can charge and listen/talk at the same time. I got mine on Amazon for $8

I used to buy everything Apple, then a couple years ago I needed a new phone because my iPhone was dying. I bought a mid-range Samsung instead and never looked back. Compatible with everything, easy peasy and options galore if desired. My only regret is that I didn't get one earlier. My sister has an LG phone and she said she prefers it over her iPhones too.

My boyfriend had those same worries when his iPhone 6S stopped working and he had to get a new iPhone (the only reason why he didn’t upgrade before was because of the jack port). I told him about the adapters with the headphone jack and charging port so he can still charge and listen to music in the car. He also doesn’t use the charging cable that came with the 11 and still uses the ones with the USB port because it’s the same lightning port.
