I liked the idea for his passive and 1 giving him a unique auto, but he didn't need to have all the other stuff, if his 2 didn't root and did enough damage just to kill small minions and his dash was slower and his ult was a one second fear instead of a two second disarm silence he would be fine. his one is fucking awesome, it's just they gave him WAY too much extra stuff.

When I first played Cern I learned two things. One that I hate his basics and will never love playing him and two I learned that he would be nerfed. I proceeded by playing him continuously until he was Diamond and have not played him since (unless rolled in assault). I tried numerous builds and then learned something else. You can build anything you want because it doesn't matter and he will still destroy everything.

the main reason i played Cernunnos originally was because i liked the idea of his color change when ever he shift through his 1. really fun to just spam it and have a little rave going on. Im bad on hunters myself and this guy has made me feel i can play them. further playing of other hunters will be the deciding factor if i can or not. I am aware this was made before the 4.9 nerfs with his summers heat giving less, doing a little maths myself has me find this scaling change results in around a 20-30% loss in damage for summer heat. which is pretty big. this will encourage players to cycle from autumn for the shred to summer for the damage. which is meant to be how his 1 is meant to be. apply autumn then shift to the other depending on the situation. His 2 having an increased cooldown which factoring in the level changes coming in 4.9 this could put him in a good spot where his clear isnt as strong and others can out push him, at least in the early game. his dash does feel really fast but slowing it down could result in it becoming really easy to stop making it frustrating to use for the cern player. i feel they shouldnt hit him too much though as it could result in another Raijin. Strong initially but now completely obsolete. with him now having his basic attack damage, Spring lifesteal, Summer damage coming together for a notable damage and sustain nerf along with his 2 no longer slowing and having an increased cd which will limit his clear, further nerfs really need to be carefully considered as it could make him just pointless to pick up. nerfing autumn could result in him having to do a little more jsut for similar damage payout other hunters have more naturally. He has to spam 1 to get autumn and summer while Rama for example jsut presses 1 once to get bonus damage a pierce and slow for upto 5 Basics and changing his dash and ult too much could make them become unreliable. im not saying he doesnt deserve any nerfs. i feel the ones made so far can leave him in a good spot and any more could make him obsolete which will make players think why bother releasing new characters if we will in the end default to the same picks we have always considered

Just a thought about balancing cern. What if they move his one to his passive, for instance if he dashes his basics will apply a slow if he bramble blasts he gets bonus damage on his basic etc. Perhaps with the same strength as rank 1. Maybe it will make the basic steroid much weaker yet noticeable.

i mean everything about him is a numbers issue. his base hp, AS, and AD are some of the highest among adcs at both l1 and l20. his AD is the only thing a few outclass in base stats. Bramble's guaranteed damage with the root ends up even w/ most adc clear abilities and its total dmg only beaten by skadi permafrost. his dash damage just outclasses everyone but medusa. Summer dmg can easily be tweaked down, but his 1 is a novel and good ability to make a unique hunter. Tweak numbers - on dmg, base stats, and aoe - and he's just a normal hunter w/ a good tf ult (like half a dozen others) and a very strong midgame because of when/how summer comes online. level 12 w/ an ichaival and your choice of dmg - qins, trans, exe - and he's fully online doing more than any hunter w/ basics at that stage except maybe stacked xbal or an izanami w/ steroid. Will still be punished by AS reduction (odin, numerous items) and his lack of cc immunity in ult.

what they need to do is just make his 2-4 crap, his 1 is unique and kinda fun, coupled with his passive it makes him an odd hunter. Where he gets op is when you take that unique aspect and add a root aoe that deals 300 +100%, the second fastest dash in the game(pretty sure cupids is faster, but that is it) and then an ult that not only is a disarm silence for 2 seconds and it hits like a truck. If they want to fix him all they have to do is take the root off his 2 and reduce the scaling, make his dash slower (it has like a .2 travel time, make it like .55 or .7) and then make the Attack speed oriented god not have a nuke for an ult 175////300 scaling with a one second fear instead makes it a good cc but not a cannon. he's a fun god design but the way people just hate him is going to mean Hirez is going to do another brain dead nerf that will make his 1 useless and will give his abilities ridiculous cooldowns instead of actually addressing the issue.

This is the first god release for me, in the year I've been playing smite, that is truly overpowered and I hate his guts. His one needs way less scaling, his two needs to not stun (nevermind the stupid slow as well as the same BS stun it had in the begining when he was first released), his three needs to be interuptible by something other than a wall or slowed way down, and finally his ultimate needs to be reworked so either it only turns a small radius into a pig (have it sorta like bellonas ult where center has the silence/disarm and outer portion be a protection reduction) or have the radius dramatically reduced (smaller than the two even). Anyone of these changes would be better because as he is now he is gonna win 75% of the games he is in. I mean they're nerfing hastened fatalis because of him (it had issues beforehand but everyone picking it up on him made developers realize how good an item it is for the gold). Goatman needs a nerf badly.
