No Samsung DeX. I cannot use a Galaxy phone without it. It is crazy that Samsung is using USB 2.0 on this phone which is laughable in 2023. Fortunately, it looks like the Z Flip5 may finally address this.

Fold is a phone that open to replace a tablet. Flip is a phone that open to replace a phone. The front screen on the flip is extra. Why do some people buy a flip vs a fold? Pocket space. A flip can fit in your shirt pocket or a very short shorts. A fold will tear through the fabric or bulge out of very short shorts.

I totally agree. I was using the 4 and then got the 5 cause I thought the battery life would be a whole lot better but it's just a little better. Also at first I liked the idea of a big cover screen but tbh I don't really use it anyway lol. So yea I kinda wish I would've just stuck with the 4 for now.

That's the one thing that I never quite got. Sure, the screen should have more functionalities, but some argue that you should be able to do everything on the front screen. Like, why even buy a foldable instead of a regular phone, then?

as someone who has the flip 4, i LOVE it. the camera is surprisingly comparable to a straight phone. its great to take videos and video call while im walking and i dont wanna bring attention to myself. the zoom isnt too good, though, i admit. the front screen is convenient to see notifs and make quick calls, and above all, its so cute and fits everywhere!

@@Cloudstuffcollectorofficial honestly, i wouldn't recommend it now, especially considering the flip 5 and 6 are out. i think the flip 5 is a good phone if you have a low budget, but, if you can, flip 6 is definitely worth it. all the main apps (for me) are on the front screen (youtube, netflix, messages, maps, kakaotalk, whatsapp), so i don't even have to open the phone todo something real quick. the camera really surprised me for both video and picture. concert vids are only nice to get the full stage--vivid colors and not much grain. i was really impressed. but only when you zoom does grain and quality become obvious. night and day photography are both comparable to my s23+, if not better. again, super impressed. hope this helps!

@@samaratabassum7825 nope -- i'm not experiencing any issues with my flip 6, yet at least. the crease isn't visible at all when using the phone. it did slightly bother me with the flip4, but i can watch all my videos without any issues on the flip6

There's an app called Samsprung TooUI, which can enable you to do anything on the cover screen. I'm surprised very few people know this and especially youtubers posting stuff without any idea of this. Also my screen protector was peeling off, so I removed it altogether(very slowly) and nothing happened, it's been 3 months without it and not a single scratch or mark.

My Flip 4 has been great. Agree that the cover display could be more useful. I use Flex mode frequently. As for a case just get a thinner one. Looking forward to the Flip 5.

I completely agree with what you are using about this device but I feel this machine is worth using it brings a new experience that is completely different from using an iphone and in terms of durability I am using Z Flip 3 since 2021 but have not encountered the situation of peeling off the screen protector as above. You should not throw the phone like that if you don't like it you can give it to someone or exchange it for another product

I bought the flip phone for it's compact size when flipped so it doesn't take that much space on my bag. I guess the thing I just dont like it it lasts about 4 hours regular use (context: 85-20% continuous wifi use light performance battery saving on, 10% brightness, apps used youtube social media apps, even faster if I play heavy games) my iphone lasts 5-6hrsin my regular use 80-30%. Battery is my only complain. I don't flip it on my home only when I go outside to preserved the screen protector lol, my goal is to make this phone last 5yrs because this is my first ever luxurious phone. I like the flex mode so I don't need a phone stand lol

@patryjuarez8453 i do . And i am constantly opennig and closing it. So far, i have no problem with it. But the phone has some years of assurance by Samsung. If your screen has problems, they will change it for free ( if comproved that you didn't break it on purpose ) The screen comes it a protection itself, so you don't have to buy a screen protection. I never had an iPhone cause I prefer an Android cellphone, but so far, it's my best phone !to cute and aestetic .

@byznraydn to be honest, the cameras are average. The great thing about flip4 is that you can take selfies with the phone closed, using the frontal cameras instead of the inside camera. The worst part to me is the zoom, it's very poor in quality. I guess if you want a great phone to take videos or work with photos maeby the S gamma is better than the Z. But if you have an opportunity, go to a physical store and compare the two phones. To me, it's the user experience that wins. The way it fits on your hands, the mechanics of it, the little screen that you can use, everything is very pleasant. I am still amazed by the phone, and I have had it for 9 months.

I have the flip 3 and really like it. I wish some things were better for sure and hope as the models progress, they improve on all the things i can find annoying. Cause why is there still a punchhole when you could easily use the frontcamera for selfies??, why the is the "fold kink" (im german, dont know how to tell) in the middle of the display not more invisible like the motorla razr smartphones, why a camera worse than middleclass, the durability need to be fixed and I dont want to pay for a new Screen protector which can fall of after one month or 1 year.

I had to replace the screen protector within 7 days of purchase because it was lifting XD. I learned at the time though that I could just do it at home (I don't live near a store that would do it, and I'm weary of mail in services). The Z flip 4 isn't as fragile as the previous model and I'm comfortable touching the actual screen without the protector if I had too, but the phone costs way to much to take such a reddit risk. At most, the phone is great for conversations, but isn't as useful as I initially thought it would be.

While I know you're on a newer model now, as much as you love the convenience of that ring case keep in mind that offers very little protection of the HINGE which is actually the most vulnerable part of the phone. You should have a case that covers the hinge when the phone is closed. I love your final remark about "can't go back" once you've had a flip and I completely agree. Despite some of the drawbacks it's still worth it due to the convenient form factor which sometimes seems difficult to articulate to people who've never had one.

the cell phone is beautiful dms and the issue of the crease in the middle of the screen the person is used to it, but you just have to be careful not to break it and the part of the cell phone being slow when there are many applications open in the background this was not supposed to happen or maybe with a system update it will definitely improve because the device will receive more updates over time so in general the device is great because it has a very powerful processor.❤

i have big hands, so folding and unfolding with one hand wasnt an issue. however, when i switched back to my s10 plus. i didnt switch back because of the small cover screen, or any of the flip features. mostly the fact of it being compromised compared to my s10 plus in features like only having 128gb, no sd expansion, no mst, no hr monitor, less cameras of alright quality, it didnt charge faster, battery sucked, i could go on and on. i actually liked the cover screen because it kept me from opening my phone for basic tasks. the fact that it is big enough for my phat fingers to still operate while not being so big as to negating the boring aspect of it (using the phone less because of having to open it, whle still being able to use it while closed is good for my ADHD and keeping my screen on time lower, but wasnt enough to not switch back). long story short, it was just too compromised compared to my s10 plus. im trading it in for a s22 ultra but im keeping my s10 plus because it still just has so many features the s22 ultra doesnt have and its still very good as a second phone, but this year is the last year for security updates so that kinda blows, but its 4 years old, it was innevitable. hopefully i dont get buyers remorese and switch back to my s10 plus again with this phone. wouldnt that be ironic lol

Nice video with a few decent critisms. I too hope samsung continues to work on removing the crease though the crease doesnt bother me at all, heck i forgot i even had a crease till this video. Btw, screen protectors go bad on any phone, you could do what i did and just take it off. The best part about having a flip phone is its natural screen protection when closed, it doesnt need that screen protector at all. Ive had the z flip 4 a while now, its never once lagged on me, never. It sounds like you got a defective product, which is actually the most worrying thing. It shouldnt lag even if you have 15 apps open, which i usually have more than that running. Maybe its your ram, go in the settings and increase your ram in the ram plus settings. Alot of people dont know you can expand your ram a few gigs by using some of your phones internal memory! I loved my ring case too but towards the end i just stop using it. I have insurance on the phone if I drop it (free first two replacements from samsung) and it truly makes me happy to watch iphone people stare at it in wonder while it has no case on it. I think thats the main selling point of this device, its a true satus symbol that boldly challenges Apple and their exclusionary tactics. Critisms on the cover screen are valid but completely solved by upgrading to the z flip 5 with that sweet $1000 trade in value of your flip 4! Apparently the hinge was designed a little more responsive while opening to make it easier to flip it open with one hand and the internal glass is even harder than the z flip 4, so you dont have to worry about scratching the screen. However there is one thing i just dont agree with you on and thats that the screen is fragile. I dont think its any more fragile than any other regular phone. The internal dcreen is not soft at all,its covered in gorilla glass and doesnt scratch or dent even if using long finger nails to pry the phone open. When the phone is closed it has a much higher drop rate survival than nearly every other phone on the market and thats basically the clamshells strongest perk, so i just cant agree there. Besides that, great video! I hope you're upgrading to the sexy Flip 5! 0:04 0:04

Rima, I liked how u showed some features of the phone. This phone is super fast u can just adjust the ram size from settings if you have tons of apps running at the same time. I think this phone has so many features that no other phone has on the market. The innovation from Samsung in coming up with new ideas should be appraised. I has flip4 for the last 7 months and it's great! I love it more than Apple products. It's not because Apple aren't good they products was awesome but it was just not for me. Even though I been their customer for 10 years, So when I was switched to Sumsung flip4 OMG the phone was just right for me! I don't really care about opening one hand or the screen has line in the middle, Honestly sometimes you couldn't even see those line it's not that bad.But if your eyes noticed it maybe you just switch to another phone? I honestly loved this phone, very practical and looks very cute BUT it already has problems after using it for just 1.5 years. Whenver I close it, it shuts down completely and the battery drops down by like 20% and now I have to get it fixed. I saw online that many many people had this problem with the 4, but I dont know if Samsung fixed this issue with the 5 and 6. I don't think I'll buy another flip phone anytime soon though lol

I used to have the Flip 3 & 4. I sold the 3 because of the bad battery life and other reasons and i sold the 4 because it was basically the 3 with much better battery life but with the same other flaws. My main problem with the phone is that the cover screen is freakin useless. You can’t do anything on it. A smartwatch can do more than the cover screen can. The main 6.7” display also presents some problems, one of them is the extremely weird aspect ratio. It doesn’t really affect your daily usage until you play games (certain games, at least). The aspect ratio cuts out your view of the game. I’m talking about games that doesn’t enable you to move your view around the screen (Clash Royale for example). But i’m really looking forward to the Flip 5 that’s coming out next month. Eventhough the Flip line-up has its shortcomings, it is certainly the most fun phone i’ve experienced for years. It also has a few pros such as the Flex mode when you’re doing video calls. It’s so freakin useful. Everyone should give it a try. Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it 😉

Very poor quality and poor service. My flip 4 was only a few month and one day the screen stops working. Bring to Samsung store, they bring it in to the repair room and come out telling me that they found a small mark/dent on the side frame which void my warranty. Should they do this in front of me if a small mark/dent void my warranty? Very unprofessional. My last Samsung product ever.

Only thing i hated about this phone was how fragile it was vs the fold. I had the flip for 1 month and it broke, got it fixed and then 5 months later the screen randomly decided to start dying (the pixels on the screen became dead, had a huge black blob where the hidge was on the screen and the top screen stopped working). Traded it in for the ultra.

I just got the Ultra. It's great, although I prefer rounded corners, but the normal s23+ doesn't have all the camera functionalities and the S pen

Same here. Got my first flip in February, by the end of May the crease started bubbling in the screen protector and then starting making a cracking noise. Got a warranty replacement on memorial day. Fast forward to today August 11th and the same thing has happened again. For reference I never dropped it and especially with the second one barely closed it which defeats the purpose of its design. Tonight I paid out the a $ $ and got a S22. I'm struggling with how much smaller this phone is and how different the screen feels. Overall bummed out

Literally had my samsung Zflip and it was GARBAGE, so i sold it. Bought the OPPO N2 flip and it is amazing! So for anyone torn, go for the oppo!

if the front screen is small then it's not usable if the front screen is big then what's the point of the main screen... Flip phones are the worst. Go for fold because they have actual use cases which is a phone as well as tablet. In flip phones you have to compromise on the screen, camera, battery which I think phones have to offer best.
