When putting the sprayer or anything away for winter it's best to leave all boxes, cupboards open. Rodents don't like to stay in places or chew cables and wires if they cannot hide 😉

Olly We all hate do Ol Rats ,having grown up on an Irish farm in the midlands and used to grow sugar beet they loved it and everything else Moved to Australia and spent some time working on a big grain farm and hey presto no sign of king rat I’m wondering why,the Rat control came round app 6 times per year,hence very little damage and indeed there was a lot of grain stored on that property They are expensive animals to have on your farm happy days and good luk from Wa ☘️☘️🍀🍀🇮🇪🇦🇺

Try blocks of Irish Spring soap. The yanks swear by it for rodent repellant . Really strong smelling . Hope it works for your kit👍

I'm pretty sure that it's a squirrel that's chewing the wires. All those leaves were its nest, as rats wouldn't carry all that up into an empty space. Awesome vid again Olly, always enjoy watching daily 👍🏻

I suggest it might be mice. Rats tend to nest on or under the ground; squirrels more in trees and shrubbery.

@@thetessellater9163 we had a keenan mixer wagon at work that had wires above the auger to the scales eaten. We found a nest of leaves in there and then saw that it was a squirrel.

Sold some wheat for April so feeling nervous now as to whether it was the right thing to do. I've had a big mouse problem down our air tunnel, can't poison as it's too much risk of contaminating the wheat so I put a dish of cheap sherry out and surrounded it with traps. The mice are loving it, they drink it and then walk into the traps.

Had the same problem with rats on the quad bike.. chewed all the wires to the battery and starter… they were covered with the repellent spray but it didn’t stop them.. to solve the issue.. we put bait blocks(Rohdillion) in the box with the wires… that got them👍🏻☠️ if ya know what I mean 😉

Did the same turbo mod to our 7530, saves fuel as well as sweeter exhaust sound. Make your own rodent spray from liquid alcohol and peppermint oil, had to strip lining out of combine cab after mice got in cab. They made hell of a mess

had rats in a combine one year done £3000 worth of damage to the wiring in the cab we ended up taking the panels off to stop it when in storage. maybe try leaving that panel off over the winter

I am only about 40%, today I found a cow nearly out because of a broken barrier, I then went to get a hammer and noticed oil on the side engine of my tractor had gone milky colour. In thinking about that as I put a bail of haylage in I got the loader jamed on the feed Barrier and ended up pulling the the barrier right out. I was not happy bloody great!!!😢😤😠

More wiring faults are caused by rodents than anything else. My fave was a mouse that overwintered in the glove box of my truck and decided to make a nest from the €150 I'd left in there from my last European trip.🤣🤣

Speak to your pest control guy about venom paste. You put it round the rat holes and they get it on their fur. Then take it back to the nest and when they clean each other it kills them off. Had great success with it at work

The insulation on most wiring for the last decade is made using soya and vegetable oil to be a greener alternative to the old petroleum based insulation. Thats why the rodents are attracted to it.
