Seriously? Your comment is so narrow-minded. Daniel's content evolves over time, and if he revisits certain topics, it's probably because they're relevant or because he has new insights. Instead of just bashing his work, why don't you offer something constructive? You're not helping anyone with this kind of negativity.

In his defense, if there truly is such a big discrimination against foreigners in all admin stuff, having someone serve as a proxy is your only viable solution and a girlfriend/wife is the most realistic way to obtain that. You won't grow a japanese family member in your garden, if you even had a garden in japan in the first place. And I doubt that's something a friend can do for you. Although he surely did say that way too crudely.

Living in Japan was an experience I never thought I would dislike so much. When I first moved to Tokyo, I was excited about the bustling city life, the amazing food, and the rich culture. However, reality hit hard soon after settling in. My apartment in Shibuya was tiny and overpriced, barely fitting my belongings. My neighbors, Mr. Tanaka and Mrs. Suzuki, were polite but distant, adding to the loneliness I felt in a crowded city. Work at Sony's headquarters in Shinagawa was demanding and stressful. My boss, Mr. Yamamoto, had impossibly high expectations and little regard for work-life balance. The commute on the overcrowded Yamanote Line was a daily ordeal, leaving me exhausted before the day even began. Weekends meant navigating the chaotic crowds in Harajuku or dealing with the quiet isolation of my apartment. The language barrier was another challenge. Despite taking Japanese classes at the YMCA near Shinjuku Gyoen, I struggled to communicate beyond basic phrases. This made everyday tasks like grocery shopping or dealing with administrative tasks incredibly frustrating. Just when I thought things couldn't get worse, a typhoon hit Tokyo, causing widespread disruptions and adding to my sense of unease and discomfort. I found myself yearning for the familiarity of home, the open spaces of the Irish countryside, and the warmth of a community where I didn't feel like an outsider. Then came the plot twist. A chance encounter with an Irish expat, Conor, at an izakaya in Roppongi changed everything. We bonded over our shared experiences of culture shock and our mutual love for Irish music and literature. Conor introduced me to his friend, Aoife, who happened to work for a tech company in Dublin and mentioned they were hiring. Fast forward to today, and I am happily settled in Ireland. I found a cozy apartment in Dublin's Rathmines neighborhood, not far from St. Stephen's Green. My neighbors, John and Mary, are friendly and welcoming, always ready with a cup of tea and a chat. The work culture at my new job in Google's European headquarters in Grand Canal Dock is refreshing, with a focus on work-life balance and innovation. I started vlogging my life in Ireland, documenting my adventures exploring the Cliffs of Moher, sipping Guinness at traditional pubs in Temple Bar, and hiking in the Wicklow Mountains. Learning Gaelic at the Irish Cultural Centre in Merrion Square has been a fulfilling challenge, and I've made new friends who share my love for Irish history and folklore. Living in Ireland has been a transformative experience. I've learned to appreciate the slower pace of life, the stunning natural beauty, and the warmth of the Irish people. Each day brings new discoveries and opportunities, and I am grateful for the chance to call Ireland my new home.

Okay Daniel, since I actually never commented once in all my time watching you I rewatched some of your old deleted videos. The reason how you became so interesting is not just because of drama, but how you presented it. I just watched "I got banned on Hello talk" and you literally asked like "What would you do if your gf had a penis one day instead of vagina?" and then you go on about how this is actually a valid question while the entire format feels like you are just using satire. Like dude this is how you get interesting again. The only people that still watch you now are usually haters or some incels that relate to you like Elliot Rodgers because you somehow talked exactly like him in the past. This is not a troll I actually want to give you advise. The sarcastic presentation while being totally real about this is what made you interesting to normies.

Daniel, it's not all cracked up to be to make 5000 pounds a month. I make that much and more. I'm stuck at an office job for 9 hours a day slaving away. The fact you can travel the world while making 1000 pounds a month on average, doing a few videos, is quite a blessing. You can look at it both ways. But it's an interesting perspective you lay out. That's why some who make over 5000 pounds a day still hate their life - they are miserable with their job.

@DanielK1213th My friend, I make over $100,000/year before tax. That is well above $5000/month after tax. Not everyone values devoting most of their life working. Some value more free time while just making enough money to survive. You can die tomorrow without warning. Life can be over and all that money means nothing. People can get terminal cancer and die 3 weeks later. I have heard so many stories. You decide how you want to live your life. But I can tell you, time is limited here in earth - use it wisely.

OK. How to unf*ck your life. 1. Develop a strict routine: exercise, thinking time, study anything time, create, etc. Organize your time. Set goals . 2. Get a job. Any job. And stick to it. Even if you hate it. Just work and try to find something you enjoy about it. Pretend you have no choice (like most people in the world). 3. Use your crappy job to motivate you to study something so you can get a less crappy job. Not a fun job. They don't exist. Just try to get a less crappy job that pays better. 4. Try to get to a point where your existence actually benefits others. Not just yourself. If you have a friend, help them. If you have a girlfriend, think about her needs. How can you make your family's life better, etc. 5. Don't focus on becoming happy. Focus on howbto make the world better with your hard work. Do that, and you will stumble upon happiness. Get out of your head and just do something positive. Anything. Mow your neighbor's lawn. Do the dishes for your mom. Volunteer somewhere. Make a card for someone. Do something for someone. Good luck!

I had a similar experience at a guest house in Tokyo. But I managed to find a good one in Shinjuku that was relatively quiet where the rooms are not separated, so if 1 person annoys the 20 people in the room they'll get called out (which happened). The capsule beds were comfortable too. The free breakfast with eggs, toast, coffee, etc made it really worth it. I saved so much money

Daniel sometimes the share house websites also have legit studio apartments pretty cheap. I stayed in one in Tennoji Osaka and another in Asakusa Tokyo for about $700 per month. Both were nice studio apartments with their own bathoom and kitchen, and two or three times the size of an APA Hotel room. That was about 10 years ago so I am not sure if these deals are still to be found but the exchange rate is also a lot better than before at 150 yen per dollar verses 100 yen per dollar back then. Do some digging, maybe you'll find something.

I've been reading "Down and Out in Paris and London" by George Orwell recently. In this book, you can find great ideas about money and work. He wrote about the places where people lived when they didn't have much money. Chapter XXXI "I do not think there is anything about a beggar that sets him in a different class from other people, or gives most modern men the right to despise him. Then the question arises, Why are beggars despised?-for they are despised, universally. I believe it is for the simple reason that they fail to earn a decent living. In practice nobody cares whether work is useful or useless, productive or parasitic; the sole thing demanded is that it shall be profitable. In all the modern talk about energy, efficiency, social service and the rest of it, what meaning is there except 'Get money, get it legally, and get a lot of it'? Money has become the grand test of virtue. By this test beggars fail, and for this they are despised. If one could earn even ten pounds a week at begging, it would become a respectable profession immediately. A beggar, looked at realistically, is simply a businessman, getting his living, like other businessmen, in the way that comes to hand. He has not, more than most modern people, sold his honour; he has merely made the mistake of choosing a trade at which it is impossible to grow rich."

River said he’ll come stream in the UK and climb Ben Nevis. Get in touch with him and start making content on kick. You’ve been stuck at the same sub count on KZbin for the past 5 years. Obviously they’re not gonna promote your content because it’s NSFW. Come on dude.

@@HidingInMyRoom1989 It's awesome that you gave kick a shot in Thailand! Even though it didn't take off there, the UK has some massive opportunities that could make a huge difference. The UK has a diverse and active fitness culture, with people always looking for fresh and exciting ways to stay fit. There are so many events and community gatherings where you could introduce kick and get people interested. Plus, with the UK's vibrant social media scene, you can spread the word quickly and reach a lot of people fast. There are also great facilities and supportive infrastructure that can help you host kick sessions and grow your community. Don't let your experience in Thailand discourage you-the UK might just be the perfect place to make kick a big success! Give it a shot!

Daniel. You lived in Japan on a spouse visa for like 5 minutes and spent the time locked up in an apartment doing nothing. I assume if you actually even had a job it would be an English teacher, which isn't a real job anyway. I agree on a lot of the things you say about Japan but come on, you didn't really 'live' there, you just bummed around making annoying videos, like this one.
