Why I have been Feeling So Sad

The loss of a pet that we are bonded to can be very hard. I morn my beloved husky still. It’s been 3 years now. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Eva, I'm so sorry to hear about you losing your beautiful cat Cupcake. It's clear he was a very sweet companion for you, and I'm sure he knew quite well how much you loved him. You gave him a wonderful life, and he gave you so much as well. I'm glad you're trying to leave the guilt behind you and focus on life now. The montage at the end was beautiful. Cupcake has been very lucky to have spent the time he had with you guys! I know how much he’s been loved 😻 not all cats can say the same. All your cats are much loved in their own way. He was just most special to you, but so are the others. Hope this helps you to stop feeling guilty, you shouldn’t 😘

It definitely helps. I already decided when making this video I had to let go of the feelings of guilt and I did.. I am not feeling like that anymore so it is nice to be able to let go of all of that.❤

I am so sorry about your loss. Time and distance lessens the pain of our grief. Treasure the space in your heart where that sweet, bright little soul now lives. You were both equally privileged to have shared a tiny bit of time on earth and I believe with my whole heart that you will be together again someday.

I’m so sorry that you have lost your very special friend. I know it doesn’t help, but I do know what it is like to lose a pet friend, very beautiful cat. I wish I was better at this…. Please don’t feel guilty! My thoughts and prayers are with you

Aw Eva, I am so sorry for your loss. I bet he was simply relieved when you were there for him those last seconds he was alive, and didn't even care what name was used. The extra intensity of emotions for those you connect more closely with do not lessen the care you have for others like Cookie. I remember when my last childhood cat passed a few years ago. (She was goofy, too...she drooled when being pet and she would knead our laps). Even though I didn't live at my parents' for 8 years by that time, I couldn't stop crying when I found out she had died. She was there through so many pivotal life moments. It was as if my last connection to my youth was gone. Anyways, all that to say, I understand feeling depressed after a beloved animal dies. I hope you find solace and comfort in happy memories of Cupcake, and your creativity, when the creative juices flow again. *hugs*

​@@EvasHomeVintageDIY I am doing well! Guess what?! This weekend I'm on day two of a 3 day garage sale (do you do those there? Instead of thrift stores, selling our stuff in our garages and yards. I know they don't usually happen in some countries.) Yay for decluttering. It has been great--my mom and others have joined in, my dad watches the baby inside since it's so hot and there are mosquitoes. I have seen and chatted with so many people I know. Lots of friendly doggies come to visit the sale, too (and unsociable Kody goes inside for a break when they come. lol). Sold so much but have so much left! I *think* you'd reallllly like my sale. lol. Lots of fun little treasures. Also, selling spider plants and aloe! lol. The kids made recycle craft birdfeeders and birdhouses and are having a cool drinks and treats sale for lego and hamster funds. :) I'm sure more of an update than you meant for, hahaa, ;)

I can’t watch, sweetie. Tears are blinding me. Three years ago my sweet kitty Romeo died. He had cancer of the mouth and I and the vet had to help him die. It was so traumatic I can’t ever go back to the veterinary hospital even though I still have two other kitties. Like you, I love all my cats but Romeo was special. I share your heartbreak.

Oh I am so sorry that you lost your cat that way. I also had a cat in the past with the same story so I know how hard it is to bring your cat to a vet like knowing he is not coming home again. My hart goes out to you.

We can only hope they’re still with us in spirit! Thank goodness for photos and videos right? :-) Today is my birthday so I’m cheered up. I hope you are doing okay and feeling better. It takes a long time to get over the loss of a pet. Hugs.

Ohhh no I'm so sorry to hear that. So devastating. As for your guilt do you resent cookie for preferring your boyfriend??? No, so no need to feel guilty for choosing cupcake!!! :D hugs

Nno I do not feel bad at all about cookie having a stronger bond with Rogier. I love seeing those two together. I am just very happy that they have that bond. I think it so cute!
