New subbie here! I was on a long rabbit hole of flight attendant videos for some reason, and your videos popped up. I have to say, and I speak from watching plenty, that you are the most genuine and empathetic person I could ever hope to meet on a flight! Or anywhere else, for that matter! I am so so sorry to hear things did not go as planned, but like you and your man are saying, God has a plan. I too re-evaluated my heart and my relationship with God recently - a one on one so to speak - and it really does put things into perspective. You are meant to do something bigger and better, at the right time. When you started tearing up I just wished I could give you a big hug. Keep your chin up, don't lose hope! You got this! Lots of love from Canada 🤍

Hello from a fellow flight attendant. I wanted to comment and give you encouragement that you are on the right path of putting God first and having faith that His plan is what matters. He has better plans for you than even you have for yourself ❤. I’ve been through really hard and sorrowful seasons in my life and know that I will go through more in the future, but I’ve also always believed that God is still for me, and He has great things for me right around the corner. In my 48 years, I’ve experienced that to be true time and time again. Also, just know that there are a couple Texas flight attendant bases here at the LUV airline 😉 ❤ 💙 💛 😉

Hello my name is Layne Kilgore from Lexington, Kentucky. I found your channel a while back. I collect my favorite flight attendants to watch while I'm getting ready in the morning and you are on that list! After watching your video here's my take. I don't know you personally but I can tell you are a solid gal. You care, you work hard and I can just feel your integrity and authenticity. After hearing about what happened with your airline I'm shocked they treated you that way over something so petty. I'm 54 and have a lot of life behind me and even have flight attendant attempt in my past. In my opinion having a bunch of experiences is you should definitely change airlines! That is so much BS and something they should have caught much much earlier. If they miss those types of details then what else will they miss down the line? Arrrrggg, I'm so mad for you! The other ladies I watch are Kat Nesbitt, Jetting Julia, and Wonderfully Ale. Those ladies work for main-line airlines. Reach out to them and see what advice they may have. Their channels are much larger but they've certainly laid out the template for how to get growth on KZbin. Shoot lean into KZbin too. I really want to see you succeed.

Oh my Alyssa! I’m so sad for u. I know I haven’t said anything when I comment but I’m with your airline now too but on leave. Found out in my IOE I was a lot sicker than I thought. I was in the fall class and haven’t been able to get back. I too, went thru so much heartbreak knowing I’m not quite well enough to fly. I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability. I do think there are some aspects of our company that is so good, but there are some not so good aspects as well. You are in Texas now and there’s a lot of different airlines with fantastic pay within your area. I appreciate you putting God 1st and it’s a reminder to me of knowing God has better plans than ours. You will be in my prayers🙏🫶 thanks for being a vulnerable honest person and fine example for all of us. God bless

hi Alyssa! I am also a regional FA for a wholly-owned subsidiary like you are (but a different airline). we don't have a flight attendant flow program at my airline, but I have applied several times to the mainline carrier and haven't gotten the CJO. it truly is heartbreaking because you have all of these thoughts and plans for how things will be when you cross over to the other airline. I hope you know that you are not alone and that the people in life - both family and friends as well as your subscribers - love and support you no matter where you are. there is something great out there with your name on it. 💖 ps - I also got sick right after the holidays and it was awful! but I thankfully had a lot of days off afterwards and it was really great to just rest for those days.

You are not a failure, I am a former FA I started training and got sent home the day before graduation because I answered I have never been convicted of a felony I HAVE NOT. I had a misdemeanor charge for a joint when I was 18 years old. I was devastated but got a job with a mainline carrier. You did nothing wrong. If I were you I would apply for another mainline. I think it is wrong how they handled it.

A very similar thing happened to me in my hotel career. I was set to move abroad to a brand new hotel opening I'd been recommended to but an old " warning" was found on my file. I ended staying put and getting promoted then moving into training new starters and connecting more with my family at home. Eventually I worked for a different chain which gave opportunities to work abroad for short periods not long term so the best of both worlds. The " warning" on my file was extremely minor but enabled me to teach others to be careful

Wow, wow, wow! 😮 I want to just give you a hug through the screen. Girl, the way you turned this in a positive way as well as a learning point after your heart to heart about improving your relationship with the Lord. I am honestly flabbergasted about the decision this company made. It sounds more like an error in the way this company runs its system. I don't know much about how flight corporations work, to be honest, but this is nuts. You're such a beautiful human, and it is truly their loss for not allowing you to take these steps at this moment in time. I find you brave to slowly let go of your visions of that this month had in stock according to your expectations and see it in a way where this step is simply not for this moment. Thank you for sharing this with us. It honestly is their loss... How crazy all your contact info had already been changed too. PS Whatever content you post, I'll watch. I was even just thinking about journal prompts, some of the questions you ask yourself during these heart to heart conversations, or just meal prepping and chatting! You got this, girl! You got whatever is written in the stars for you! ❤

I know how devastated you must have been, @Alyssa - it happened to me also (altho not an airline industry job), being turned down for a promotion a week before I was supposed to start. Completely knocks the wind out of your sails. For now, though, keep flying with your regional, but also consider other mainline carriers. I don't know if mainline carriers give "extra points" for FAs already working in the industry when sorting thru applications, but it would make sense if they did. UAL and SWA have crew bases in Houston - a short commute. AA's major hub/base is DFW, still a relatively short commute. DAL's closest are SLC and ATL, and you already know where AS bases are. I think the industry standard is that you're assigned to a base during training/graduation, but then after passing probation, you can bid for another base. "Crash pad time" if you're a commuter, eh? In the meantime, keep your spirits up, keep hugging Damon, and keep making your passengers happy. As always, Cheers from GEG ❣

You have a great attitude, and your love for and trust in God shines through. He's got you in his hands, Alyssa. This too shall pass and he will get you where you need to go. That said, I think that what the airline did to you is terrible. Forgetting to read something? A warning? No one is allowed to make a mistake? Yikes. I hope it truly had nothing to do with you being sick. I also got the flu the week before Christmas; I wasn't able to function as a human being for about a week and a half and I am still fatigued, still having weird sinus pressure, and just feel completely off. I was supposed to fly somewhere last week and decided against it. I wouldn't have been able to work two days after Christmas. Hang in there. Things are going to work out for the best. Hugs!

I'm so sorry Alyssa. A very similar thing happened to me when I worked for the Federal government in Omaha Nebraska years ago. Its a long story but I was envisioning myself in a location and position that I had applied for (a promotion) and didn't get. I had already "moved" in my mind. Long story short I ended up leaving the Government and I moved to that place I envisioned (Florida) and now am self employed day trading and calling my own shots with life on my terms. In my 20s I would have never thought I'd be living where I am and doing what I'm doing now back then.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I don’t work in the airline industry. But I do help people navigate benefits with the government. What you’re experiencing is straight up administrative bureauocracy. It’s not personal at all. But it really stinks when you’re affected by your company’s mistakes. I see it time and time again at work and like you, they don’t know what’s going on without someone with system access. The biggest lesson I would take from it is to remember this mistake and educate yourself. Go through your company policies and procedures, talk to other flight attendants at your airline and others to see if the same thing happened to them. How did they deal with it? By gathering more information, you should get a better sense of how to proceed. You might want to ask others who transitioned out of regional to mainline how they did it too. It sounds like your company made it seem like the transition is simple and in reality, they expect perfection. Thank you for sharing all your videos. Best of luck to you!

Heyy, former OO regional flight attendant here! The grass isn't always greener on the other side. It could've been a blessing that you're not over there - I've heard people moving to mainline Alaska (even from OO and Horizon) and absolutely hating it. Not to hate on the company, but Alaska does have a lot of homeless flight attendants because they can't afford to live. It's a huge drop financially starting out. Reserve life is brutal. They can add flying whenever. There's benefits and cons to every space and sometimes rejection is a good thing. It means you're too good for Alaska and there's bigger and better things out there

Girl you better be cc’ing your union rep on all these emails maybe they can change the language in the contract one day, seems like something that shouldn’t be considered disciplinary to me. Wait up for southwest apps they are the most unionized and it will be better for your finances and life flexibility, their reserve days are more flexible and it’s still a smaller company which is nice. I don’t recommend going to be junior at an airline with long haul if you want to have kids, some moms do it but it’s difficult to be gone a minimum of 3 days ish, and motherhood is already a lot on your body on top of long haul flying reserve life.

Having the flu sucks, good to hear you got rid of it!! ❤ The excuse given to cancel your training sounds flimsy. Either way it was poorly done and stupid 🤬😖 If you want to go mainline there are of course other companies, AA has huge and junior base in Dallas, united in Houston. I would be tempted to go to another company just out of spite.. but that might not be the best advice 😊 Might be better to take some time, run a marathon and then consider your next step to going mainline.
