hi I just graduated my senior year of high school and have struggled with addiction of multiple substances including gambling for 4+ years. I want to be successful and independent from my parents because they are fed up with my shit. Will the army/military help me set my life on track? I am accepted to a good college but I am starting to second guess whether that is the best choice for me. I fear if I go to college I will keep doing the same stupid shit i’ve been doing in high school and middle school. Your opinion, or any opinions will be greatly appreciated. I go to the gym about 4-5x a week and am very fit (idk about cardio lol) so i’m not worried about the physical aspect. I have a very strong will and have done almost everything I set my mind to (sadly including bad things too). With determination and the incentive of good pay, I feel the military could really help me out and set me up for a second career.
