I want to join ROTC once I get into college and try to join the Air Force after I graduate. I’ve always been an antisocial person, and I was always terrible at school sports. I hope joining will help build my character
@TTFSZ3 жыл бұрын
I'd make sure the ROTC you do is able to transfer to Airforce because colleges have different ROTC, like army, marines, navy, etc. So be careful which college you go to because if you go through ROTC you will become an officer and it is very shameful to go through one branch get Commissioned then completely transfer to another branch.
@TTFSZ3 жыл бұрын
@BladerNation What I'm saying is dont go through training and commission for one Branch then turn around and transfer to another, that branch spent it's time and money to commission you for them, but you take that and go to another branch not serving in the branch you trained for is what's shameful

How long do you have to be in the army? And could you go to college after?
@caseygreyson4178 Жыл бұрын
@@whatagemstoneyouwere9222 ROTC is college. The military pays for your university and in return you have to serve anywhere from 3-8 years (depending on a variety of factors I’m not gonna get into unless you want me to explain further). If you serve 8 years or more, you will be granted the post 9/11 G.I. Bill which gives you 4 years of tuition at any public university, or up to $40,000 a year at any private university. This can be used to obtain a master’s degree, or alternatively you can have the military pay for your master’s, adding onto your payback time, and then you can give the GI Bill to your spouse and/or children.

@jackmurphy41115 жыл бұрын
So I'm not entirely sure what your comment means. If you want to be an actual combat medic, then you shouldn't become an officer. If you want to go into the medical field, as in Nursing, Dental, or other medical degree, then becoming an officer is the way to go. There is something called the Option 40 Contract, which simply states that upon completion of an ROTC program, rather than commissioning as a Second Lieutenant, you instead enlist as I believe a specialist. Its rather uncommon which is why I'm not 100% sure about it, but it's still an option. I'd recommend talking to an actual Recruiting Officer at an ROTC program though, NOT A RECRUITER. Recruiters will lie to you, Recruitment officers at Universities will be much more truthful.

@@xiaozhang2507 I'm 42yo male, a veteran of the a United States Army, and currently a Sergeant of 20 years for a police department in a major US city on the east coast. In my worst physical condition, I would still be a better representation of Army standards than her or YOU for that matter, young buck. Come back to me once you get some life experience. Until then your SJW opinion is bunk

Dan B She may be out of shape, so what? At least she’s doing something about it while you’re here criticizing a young college girl (who could possibly be a future Officer) for doing something positive. I don’t really understand why you have such a huge problem with it? ROTC is called Reserve Officer TRAINING Corps for a reason, young buck.

Brain stroke by electrical stunning and injections is what I suffered in military training. I also had radiation exposure. None of it was compensated from 1983 US Navy PacificFleet. Also in other government work involving trillions of dollars I was stunned repeatedly and injected and had 18 year coma with no workers compensation from the 1999 2000 incidents. The robbers were successful. I was treated like a criminal afterward. Father told me no military and no finance work and do not live where life is improbable in particular California. I truly have regrets now in my old age and am considering euthanasia. If you feel you must go in military just join French foreign legion or stay overseas when you are rejected. Father was a national guard volunteer who regretted he had contact with the government of the USA. He joked if you are to join the military you might as well sleep with a black man in the back yard Any man in black face camouflage in the national guard in your town is your back yard man. Nursing or dr pays better. I never trust the regime in power or their healthcare. They betray us the common Americans. Kurt brown saintrambone Mobile Audit Club club.

Nope this isn't a joke. I'm in ROTC and it's a lot of fun. The only thing that's not fun is the running because you can't stop.
