Actually, Odd1'sout doesn't changes his art style. He mostly changes his characters living look. For example : Then he would draw his picture of him playing with knives, and now he make them really move.

Some artist can have a consistent style while some change their art style all the time. Like for example I have managed to stick to a consistent style for about a year but a year ago I changed style a lot because my art was developing a lot.

Changing your style / updating the way you draw is healthy and builds you as an artist. Keep up the amazing work. Chip gets more and more unique and better with every change and iteration. That's because the movement on the current style is done by the computer. If the "puppet" is what I think it is, the advantage to using it is that you simply set up the keyframes and the program does the tweening, while using a hand-drawn image would mean you have to illustrate all the inbetweens yourself. _...I'm sure that probably sounded like Greek, didn't it?_ >﹏> Let's just say that the current style makes it easier for ChipFlake, because the computer does a lot of the hard part in ensuring that the animation is "smooth". That's not to put down ChipFlake for the using it- it's certainly not "lazy" as there's _a lot_ of learning and skill involved in getting the computer to actually do what you want it to. I personally think it's really cool to see a "KZbin Animator" *_actually animating_* in *Adobe Animate,* rather than just using stills. ^‿^ ...Unless of course by "smooth", you meant "cool/neat/awesome" etc. *in which case I'd totally agree.* >ヮ< -Maybe I shouldn't have bothered typing this.- >﹏

yup I 100% agree, you can't please everyone. when I changed my character I got a lot of criticism, but what really matters is that you're happy with what you're making cause that energy and love for the process will reflect in the content itself. it's usually just a loud minority anyway, most people don't mind as long as the videos are good. and honestly i've been loving all the characters lately but this latest one is looking great, in fact i'd say it's your best one yet. also all the little animations and sketches are very well done and fun to watch. you're very talented! keep up the good work!!

Yes, I have noticed the style changing every couple videos, and no, I never realized how many different styles you've experimented with, but I didn't mind the changes. Honestly I dont mind the different styles. It makes you unique but I get why people hate it. My favorite one is the traditional and neko style. I love it soo much. If I actually do make an animation channel, I'd use the same style (as inspiration.) I still love you, Chip, and I like this one, too. UwU ♡

I personally really don't mind how many times you changed your art style. The whole journey was actually interesting. It seemed to me like every new style was a mystery box that made each video unique. Like I get the whole meme/joke in your fanbase like "ohhh that chip and their changing art style", but in reality it was really a break from all other animation channels in the sense that you never know what you were going to make next. The point is, you don't have to be 100% unique from everyone else. I don't think I've seen any other smooth After Effects artists out there who put as much time and effort into their videos as much as you do. Heck, I've been using the puppet tool trick in my Animation class from your Patreon tutorial. My professor was blown away with how I knew how to work the puppet tool (it was literally the first day and pretty much my first time exploring After Effects. Anyway, sorry if a comment of this length seems over the top. Just wanted to put this out there. Keep making great stuff!

@@Chipflake To make matters BETTER, I love style 11. It LITERALLY looks like one could just walk up to it and hug it, then it would IMMEDIATELY love them. I always found it extremely cute and adorable. I find style 11 to be my favorite. If I EVER physically met it, I would let it hug me. A lot of other people liked it as well. I would love a reply from you. I am NOT telling you to reply, I would really like a reply though.

I think I really needed to hear this :/ I let the critics get to me as well and I’ve wasted so, so much time trying to make something in a style I know I don’t have time for. And you’re right, it stops being fun. I’m working on a style that still feels like an upgrade for me but doesn’t take 20 hours for each 10 seconds of video (yes really).
