I once studied in Australia and fell in love with the country even before i arrived on its land. For some reasons, I came back to my home country but never ever gave up the belief that I’ll be back someday in the future. Also after travelling to a few other countries, it reinforced me that Australia is the place where I’d love to build my family. This year is gonna be the year. I’m speeding up making things happen. Your story is encouraging. Wish you all the best in the new chapter of your lives❤️

God has really blown my mind. I arrived in Melbourne last week after leaving my home country of South Africa. I gave away all that I had, and arrived here alone with 2 suitcases. I don’t know anyone here. As daunting as it sounds, I’ve had unbelievable peace. God has taken care of everything. Before I left, the Holy Spirit made it clear to me that I’ll have everything that I need, so there is no need to worry about anything. One week later, and I’m still in perfect peace. I haven’t made any new friends yet, but I’m confident that once I start work, things will start to change for me. I’m excited for what the Lord is doing in my life. My theme for the year is Be Still; “still” meaning “relax”. God has everything worked out for my good.

I've been living in Melbourne for over 15 years and I'm considering moving to Kuala Lumpur. Been there once, I loved it. Melbourne is not like how it once was. It has turned into a police state, I'm sure you know that by now. During lockdown it was a nightmare. They were prisoning people in their own apartments! Also now, if you're an Australian citizen and you plan to live elsewhere due to the corruption, if you come back to Australia for a visit, they will prison you and not let you out anymore. Trust me, you will end up going back to Malaysia. Australia is highly taxed and very expensive. They're making it difficult for their own citizens to live here. Elderly people are not being paid much pension to pay for their rent. Hence, getting kicked out. Salary will not cover all your expenses. I have worked here mainly in banks, and still, most money goes in bills. Melbourne is very expensive. The lifestyle gets depressing. Everyone is struggling with depression. Citizenship is difficult to get. This city will take from you more than it can ever give. Australians are now leaving this country to go live in Thailand and other easy going Asian countries.

The same thing has happened in Malaysia lol… if you are genuinely concerned about freedom then Malaysia is not the country to move to. Journalists have been prosecuted for exercising free speech in Malaysia. And also, Malaysia also had lockdowns during covid. You couldn’t even get out of your house other than buying groceries. Australia is still a country of freedom despite what has happened and you should acknowledge that there many countries that have had it worse.

Thank you for sharing your story; its truly inspiring! I'm a mother to one, and I visited Melbourne in April of last year. At that time, I was dealing with a breakup and deep depression. I felt utterly lost and heartbroken, but the people, the city, and the vibrant energy of Melbourne filled the void in my heart, and I fell in love melby. I prayed to God, asking if this was where I was meant to be, as it felt like home and it brought me peace. However, I ended up setting that dream aside, and now I'm a first-year student pursuing a psychology degree. Still, something feels wrong, and I continue to feel a strong pull toward that place. Deep down, I know I need to seek God's guidance on what I truly desire, and I sense it isn't here in New Zealand.

Chris, first time watching this and I already love it. Im not gonna ask you to spoonfeed me. As someone who have been living under a cave, I will find a way to migrate. Australia is the preferred location just because I have a fellow malaysian friend who had been there (now back home) who is dying to go back to Aus. He encouraged me for my self-reliance personality that I can achieve more if only I start to step out of my comfort zone. I wish I know it easily how to start to think of moving abroad, ill strive to find out more. Maybe, if Im there, come to my house for "hari raya" in Aus, LOL! Thanks for this content

Grass is greener on the other side. For me at least as a Malaysian student in Sydney, I freaking love Sydney because it reminds me a lot of American cities but if America was cities were well maintained,clean and have good infrastructure. Its a perfect blend between old and new. Everything feels so picturesque in Melbourne and Sydney cbd. It made me wonder why many Asian cities are built so "coldly" with glass and steels skyscrapers. There's a certain charm to Melbourne and Sydney especially with their old area that reminds me of classic American movies.

Hey D. It was something we’ve been sitting in thought and prayer about for a few years now. It’s a combination of many things really, I’d say mainly was learning to hear God’s voice and discerning in the spirit. With different things unfolding in our lives, and us hearing from God that it was time, we were convicted us to go for it. It was not an easy decision, but we got so convicted that it became clear that it was something that we needed to do. We love it here, but we also love Malaysia very much. But most importantly for us was to be where God was calling us to go. God’s heart will always be to bless us abundantly, and we just need to be obedient and position ourselves well to receive it. Hope this helps! Encourage you to really just pray about it and perhaps seek some wise counsel from leaders/mentors! It’s gonna be great, D! Stoked for what’s ahead of you!

such an inspiring video! My husband and I wish to migrate to Melbourne too, perhaps in a couple of years from now. I got a question though - is there any reason why you didn’t go with the Working Holiday Visa route?
@iamchrisyap
@iamchrisyap 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Fatin! Working holiday only permits you for certain jobs and it’s more of a short term visa, we’re looking to settle here for a good few years at the very least so that probably wouldn’t work too well for us! Excited for you guys! You’ll love it here!

Many of my non muslim friends have migrated to US, Europe, Australia and NZ. If all the non muslims leave Malaysia, then the Rohingyas, Banglas, Indons, Pakistanis and Palestinians will take their place. Zakir Naik once said Malaysia is the best country for muslims.

You did not say why you left Malaysia, that was the topic of discussion instead of telling us about you life. What I did conclude from your video that there is GOD in Australia but not in Malaysia.

Hey Zozo. You’re right on that. I realized I might not have communicated that as clearly as I wanted to. Thanks for pointing it out! I think your conclusions somewhat nails it but only for me personally, as I’ve personally felt that I was called to come to Australia in this season of my life. So it felt like I couldn’t stay in MY any longer and needed follow the call of God in my life.

All countries have their pros and cons. To me if God had chosen me to be born here, there must be something that I can contribute using the gifts He gave. There are just so many needs here in a developing country like Malaysia. Anyway, all the best to you and dun forget us here and pray for us. Cheers,

I think Malaysia is way better than Australia, we have the same cleanliness, infrastructure and beautiful nature, if you don't convert the wages it's basically the same living standard. Australia is doomed with the banning of everything

People say grass is always greener, but reality is I moved to Australia because of my daughter, not for a better life, the ugly truth is, Australia is a very racist country, some are open about it but most of it is covert, it's really hard to get ahead as everything is geared towards keeping you in your place and them to move ahead, you won't know what is happening, till it's too late. I absolutely hate this place but remain here for my child. can't even get tasty food for a decent price like in Malaysia. Malaysia has its flaws but when you think how the whites treat the aboriginals who have been here for 1000s of years, what chance does an immigrant who has been living here for 10 years have?

@@MDSHAHIDKHANRONY over regulation. Hawkers will not be able to trade. Coffee shop prices will skyrocket due to over regulation. Government revenue raising, speed cameras everywhere, red light cameras everywhere, parking inspectors and metered parking everywhere. Everything from food to property to medical will skyrocket. Breaking down of family. Break down of healthy family morals and values. No more fireworks allowed to be sold to public. You will need permits for just about everything. Taxes will continue to increase to pay for bigger government. Corruption will also increase. Today, Malaysia is a wonderful and free country to live in. The people are beautiful and kind in nature, please do not lose this. Remember, western countries are new countries with no culture except for drinking alcohol, over eating of junk food and intolerance for other people’s cultures. Corruption greed will increase 100x. Illegal drug use will also increase as well as homelessness. Products are no longer built to last. Religion is no longer important. The divide between people will increase.

This was so encouraging. I am literally moved to tears. I am an international student in London and I've been struggling financially and also with trying to get my first job. It's been a rough time. In my head i know that God is good and He is always going to take care of us but I've been finding myself being angry with God and lashing out at Him. It has seriously affected my walk with Him. I honestly don't know why I am seeing this now but thank you for reminding me of how awesome God is. I pray that Australia will continually be good to you. God bless you!

I then reverted back to myself and not be mislead by the church and its leaders and followers. All had their own agenda and they were never there to help or hold your hands . They were just hypocrites.
