They had 3 games played at the river center as a test to see if Baton Rouge would want it and they said they needed to sell atleast 15,000 tickets for Baton Rouge to get a team. They sold over 20,000 last I heard they were coming up with the branding and it was pretty much a sure thing. If you look at the fed wiki Baton Rouge is labeled as a upcoming location

2:06 seems shady to me; wouldn't a pro team perform some sort of physical exam before signing a new player? If he didn't tell them that he was hurt BEFORE signing with the team, then that's a betrayal of trust that will be nearly impossible to come back from as a player... reputation-killing stuff right there. :/

hey Trav good luck with everything, hate to see what you're going through. We all know our bodies have their limits. In the beginning we might not think about it, realize it or maybe try to ignore it all together but at least we can sit back when it's time with few or no regrets. I've lost a significant percentage of my hearing playing in rock bands since 1989 and still doing it to this day. Not the best decision but I still enjoy doing it. this might be the missing link trav. think of it this way, you've been operating at... 90%... give or take, cortisone shots not with standing. imagine unlocking your full 100% potential, where you could play is an endless possibility. After this big hurdle in your life, it's out of the way and out of your life for good most likely. no more over thinking any movement, no more thought of "career ending" surgery. just some food for thought. keep us updated

how can i make my pads sit higher on my skates. i use skate laces and tie them pretty loose. i don’t use a boot strap and if i did i wouldn’t be able to use the lundy loop because it’s stock under my foot.

you need a shallow boot, trav spec pro laces. Thats basically the setup

The most important is to not push it after the surgery, discipline yourself and let it recover. Its mentally taxing to stay off the ice when you feel great. Maybe you can work on body movement and flexibility during this time period….something goal oriented. Good luck and quick recovery brotha man! No doubt this will elevate your game!

Don't push yourself too hard. There will be days during your recovery where you'll feel great and want to push the envelope a bit and try something you aren't quite ready for yet. Try not to get caught up in wanting to get back on the ice and just take it easy. Can't wait to see you back in MC next year

Good luck Trav. Surgery was best thing I did after trying to fight through a meniscus tear for years, similar to what you did here with your hip. It will suck for a while but it will be worth it and you'll wish you did it sooner. I'm also in need of same surgery as you so I'm looking forward to seeing how your process goes.

Maybe time to look at something another then hockey. It takes a tole on your body and at what point is it not worth it anymore. All this pain to be a back up dosnt seem smart for the future. But that’s easy for me to say best of luck in the future
