Because travel is not really the goal in life, but it's part of pleasure and relaxation. The real goal is a stable income, which boosts mental health. Philippines may be the place to increase subscribers because most Filipinos love to watch KZbin; Philippines is the texting capital of the world. But sometimes if a vlogger's subscribers won't increase at a target time, they'll leave. For instance Mergim Vlog's subscribers significantly increased thus he stayed long. Mental health or depression is proportional to the success of income goals. If income declines, it's a burden how to survive. Research how to improve contents to increase subscribers or learn new skills to bring in good income, then mental health improves; depression may be chemical imbalance in the body. Seek Doctor's advice for anti-depressants, it will help. Good luck to the guy and to Nelly. Wishing you both success of goals in life.

You know you can really respect someone that is really being honest and not disrespectful. He made it very clear that it wasn't the Philippines or the people there that were the problem , but rather it was him. You can respect that. Not one comment was blaming the Philippines for it. That's cool. I have heard so many expact just totally put down the Filipino in a very disrespectful way. Not cool.If you just don't like a place leave. Simple. Don't blame them if it was you. Now if he really had an issue with the Philippines and could really explain it, then that is different. Still do it respectfully. I was in Bangladesh for 4 years and hated it. It was an issue with how they do things, but I don't post about it as I feel no need to disrespect them like that. Hopefully you do come back sometime with friends and really give it a try here. It is amazing here and I just love it.

I'm an islander, moved from the city to the island with my family, so I understood him in a way. Honestly, Boracay is not the best place for anxiety and socializing on a deeper level, which I assume he's also looking for. It's a "party" island. People are not really there to "chill" and it's too touristy. Then, Cebu? Ugggh. I lived there for 13 years and the struggle was real. Better than Manila though, if you're looking for a big city scene. It's not for everyone! So, as someone who has traveled extensively in the Philippines (I'm Filipino), I found happiness in two places: Siargao and Siquijor. Currently, living in Siquijor. As soon as we moved in to our new home 3 years ago, there was a feeling of actually belonging to a community. It's different for everyone, so find your place in your own corner of the world. I'm sorry the Philippines was not where he found "home." Maybe he should stay away from "touristy" and super crowded places here. It's awful, I know.

I think I know how he feels. I can be in a very lovely place around a lot of people having fun and yet feel really sad and depressed. I remember being new in the US in my early 20's and I wanted to visit the nicest places I dreamed about as a child. Because I started working right away and all my relatives being too busy, I went to Disneyland by myself. It was as pretty as I expected and I was around a lot of people having fun, yet I felt really alone because I was not with them. I was just around them. I went to one ride after another and one show after another and I could only cry because I couldn't enjoy everything with the people I love that I just wanted ro go home. That was more than 30 years ago and I have cultivated friends through the years. But I would never do that again.

Its good that you are back to Thailand, that your health is back to normal. Sorry that you feel anxiety, mental health while you are in Philippines 🇵🇭.

Hey bro just stay in Thailand if you said you got your happiness there. Take care. People have their own choices. He should have tried the north of the Philippines before leaving 😅.

He came to Thailand first before Philippines so i think he’s a little biased. Also, he needs a companion while traveling to prevent him from being lonely.

First of all, it is very impossible to explore the 7+ islands of the Philippines by motorbike. I also agree with Nelly that you can ride a roro from an A-Z destination. I just don't understand that he has lived in Thailand for 2-3 years, as he said, if I'm not mistaken. So in Thailand, he already has a mental issue; did he seek medical advice from a psychiatrist?. As far as I know, Filipinos are the friendliest people in the world, and you can easily find locals if you will incorporate or blend with them. Oh well, that's his perspective, and I hope he can find a partner in life so that his mental health issues and anxiety won't get worse.

Marijuana was probably his cure for mental illness unfortunately it is not legal in the Philippines and it is legal in Thailand so he can continue using it. I heard they use CBD for mental problems too not just for vices.

you forgot one of the most important thing to experience in the philippines.... the beauty of the country is not only the place itself but more of its people..... to experience ph is to experience the friendliness and hospitality of its people.... sad thing is i think you never even tried to connect at all... to other countries, it's just all about the place, in the philippines it's all about its people, just happened that we live in a beautiful place as well,... you missed a lot my friend, things that could have washed away all your depression and anxieties...

It's okay if he doesn't come back. Most Filipinos would admit PH is not 100% tourist-tailored. To add, I think the message of his vlog is to promote Thailand beaches, that you don't have to go to Philippines to experience paradise islands, well in fact, Thailand will lose if we're talking about beaches and islands. Mental health issue is just a cover of his vlog.
