Wrong! ,,, there are female guards for female-entrance "always".
@gramo634 ай бұрын
Mall entrances have SEPARATE entry lines for MALES and FEMALES -- because FEMALES need to have their HANDBAGS inspected and are therefore SLOWER than MALE entry lines. However, a MALE who carries a shopping bag will also experience a similar delay.

I think its more on comfortability of women, if another female guard is checking their bag it would be less embrassing to show their private belongings.

Clothes dryers are rare in the Philippines, but clothes washers are available in just about any appliance store. I bought my family's first washing machine with a swirl dryer in 1989, which was Japanese made; in 1989 I purchased a fully automatic (washer with concentric swirl dryer) of the Whirlpool brand. A Whirlpool service center in Quezon City (which was just 15 minutes' drive from my home) simultaneously with its introduction to the market. Japanese & Korean made appliances have long been available in the Philippines.

Clothes dryers are rare because we can generally dry on clotheslines instead of racking up higher electric bills just to dry our clothes. Also, we tend to shower more often, change clothes more often and have clothes for the home and for going out. The material we use for our clothes is also often thin and that can be dried easily.

Right on point! The Filipina Pea is very informative on many different subjects that the common foreigner needs to know. She is often funny and at other times serious, but always well researched and informed. Her videos are geared to pass that information to we, foreigners that we don't "screw up." She shows respect for all cultures and most age levels, while still telling things like they are. Also, she is not an armchair KZbinr, but sometimes she gets out there to show some of the sights as well. I enjoy her channel and have learned a lot from her.

There is what we call beso--beso. Its actually dipping your check on another check without even touching each other's check with protruding lips. This is done by women to women very close friends or peers. Its not done by men. Instead we shake hands. If close friends, the other hand reaches out the upper back just below the shoulder to pull the other person closer. Among family members, we mano and kiss the check of our parents, grandparents aunts and uncles and best friends of our parents. Friends men and women usually hug when saying goodbye to each other knowing that it would be long before they see each other again.

Culture shock. That's what some foreigners experience. About selling liquor without license, it's not tolerated in America. If you're a visitor in the Philippines, you can readily buy beer in any neighborhood store. No ID is required regardless of age. The draw back is minors end up drinking at an early age. What more, drinking while driving is your own responsibility. In the west, those caught beyond the breath test limit would be charged.

Criyicslly true in sl.ost her observations but not necessarily very true to sll in some... like the separate doors, we font have seoarate doors for femsle and male but separate line or entrance with the same door... not like in India shere there are really places that women cudyoners or men eith eomen compsnions are expected to enter in a separate door or a small cosy door with curtains even, its the culture which is different at the sane time interesting which i myself expetienced it.... And about the houses built on the boundaries of the streets especially in the city, it is because out of necessity to maximize your area, which is normally small, i bet majority of the filipinos love an outdoor space in front or even at the side or back of the house.. It is definitely a luxury in urban areas...
