Good video! I’m tired of the division here in the states. I just retired in August. I’ve been working toward a plan of moving overseas for a couple years now I heard about it about four years ago, but just started looking more into it about two years ago. Everything that I’ve gathered so far points me in the direction of what you are doing play the Visa game keep moving around. Maybe eventually find somewhere that I would like to rent a condo on a more permanent basis and then just travel every once in a while. I’m kind of thinking of Hua Hin. But I’ve never been there so I need to go dip my toe in the pool. The politics here in this country are really getting scary now! I just hope that they don’t steal our Social Security money that we all worked so hard for!

Very timely video. Before watching your video I had already decided I was going to unsubscribe from all the news organizations that I get dozens of emails from every day and uninstall news apps that are US based news sources. I'll keep up with what's going on in the world from news sources that are outside the US, like BBC, and do so only sparingly. But I'm done with following the day to day fear and anger cycle that is US media. If you stay in the US, you can't escape it no matter how hard you try. But outside the US, you don't have the daily reminders all around you. The only way to see it is to look for it online. We can make the choice not to do that. You've made it and now I will as well. I already feel better!

Not only should weapons manufacturers not be publicly traded, I believe that health insurance companies should also be prohibited from being publicly traded. Just think the cost that is paid to these healthcare companies are tied to their profits on Wall Street. They are not in the business of healthcare, they are in the business of making money. Period. Thanks for your work and sharing your joy, happiness and experiences. I have visited several countries in SE Asia and love it there. Division in the US has always existed and I don't think of The Occupy Wall Street as a significant milestone but everything like that can have long lasting effects. Politically, in my view, a big turning point was when Bill Clinton was President and the then Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich chose to turn partisan battles into bloodsport and wrecked Congress, which led us in part to where we are today. The Media loves it because fear and division is profitable today unlike years past before Cable TV and the repeal of the fairness doctrine when Reagan was POTUS. Modern day Politicians like Trump love it because it helped him get elected(twice). I reject the false equivalence narrative of some that say both sides are the same. That should be more than obvious by now. I agree Defense Spending needs to be reevaluated and Defense Stocks are too prevalent in the market but I don't see that changing anytime soon. The US continues to spend more on defense than everyone other nation combined and that is unwise. There are no easy or simple answers. I agree that all of us need to be careful with our Social Media and news exposure in general and to not get drawn down into the abyss of doom and gloom. However, there is a fine line between ignoring/avoiding the problems of the world and trying to stay aware and informed(on a macro level). I wish everyone all the best and look forward to my next Journey to SE Asia. Keep on Traveling. I love SE Asia and will beginning planning my next adventure soon.

After Obama entered the White House the division started and the media started to take sides Red and Blue and the civil unrest. Americans deserve what they have in the recent election due to apathy - some states only had 25% of the population actually vote… so the other 75% must not care enough to vote. Not only that the constitution is not for today - right to keep and bear arms 😢 with approx 20k die p.a due to firearms …. The world is great without the greed and power hungry individuals! I know you avoid talking politics like the plague but was wondering if, thinking about your investments, you worry with the tectonic shift that is going to take place? My take, as an outsider, is that the incoming "dictator on day one" has no clue about running a business, as proven about 7 or more times, let alone the biggest economy in the world, and all "concepts of a plan" are a sure-fire way to destroy that economy and associated businesses so I would think the flow-on effect is going to be a hefty downturn in markets everywhere, are you, or did you plan accordingly?

The Roman Revolution is notorious for the rejection of the optimates' use of the divide and conquer strategy between the poor and equestrian families of Rome, and was only overcome through intense civil wars leading to a loss of most republican/democratic features of the government, in favor of benevolent dictatorship. History seems to be repeating itself, assuming our new dictator can conjure up some benevolence. 😂

@ I don’t know. I’m not American nor living anywhere near the USA. All I know is that wherever you do go or live societies have problems, governments are corrupt. I’ve travelled extensively where you’ve been and other countries and if you sit down with the locals and really have a chat you’ll find grievances there too. Travelling as you do affords the luxury of not having to deal with the local problems. It allows you to be or remain blithely unaware.
