This is actually a lightweight fleece row cover on them right now. We have aggressive birds and rabbits that have no problem eating anything they can get to, and it also keeps out other pests. I switch it up depending on the time of year. December through mid-February, I use greenhouse plastic to hold in heat, like a mini-greenhouse. I put on 90% UV cloth around mid-May, and that stays on until late August/early September. The rest of the time, these will be covered in the fleece. 💚
