I’ve watched almost all the posted videos about rykers, which i love them , BUT at this point in time I can say you are the only person who is not trying to impress with a machine which was made for a specific targeted market , and on top of that you actually kept it simple, and quite self explanatory about the mods… If someone wants more than this trike can offer in stock mode , than deffinetly needs to look somewhere else! You did really left a very nice “taste in my mouth” with the simplicity and blunt honesty about this product (Ryker). Well done and good for you ! Honesty is a very rare thing these days, and making a video which doesn’t sound commercial is a diamond in 21st century! I don’t have a driving licence yet, but because of this lovely machinery, I booked myself in January for driving school-not even manual, just automatic-so I can ride a RYKER!!! I wish you success in the future , and I will definitely continue to follow your future content! all the best wishes from U.K! Please excuse my possible writing mistake I’m not British! Cheers, mate!

Well thank you for your comment. I got the gist of what you’re saying. I think it sounds as honest as I try to make it because I make it up as I ride. No script just raw thoughts. I have made a few more cosmetic changes but I’m not pursuing performance. Hope you continue to watch what I’m putting out and thank you again.

Thank you. Maybe try your local clubs many have an open house where you can see if you fit in. Maybe try a VFW or legion hall lots of riders there and if worse comes to worse you make some new friends . I was late in joining an MC. The one i wanted to join only allowed American made v twins so that was a bust. But things happen for a reason and I’m happy with my new friends.

Just picked up my ryker 900 ace dec-7-2024 , Never ridden one before and its definetly cold here in Ohio so patiently waiting for spring weather , Got a great deal on a leftover 2023 $ 9600.00 hundred out the door with a windshield added for free , Been a harley guy my whole life but broke my hand and cant shift anymore so i hope this is the ticket , Good videos and subd !

Well welcome to the club. I think you will love it once you get used to it. It will take a while to stop trying to grab the imaginary clutch and brake levers. Your riding experience has definitely gotten easier. Since you ride before I’m sure you know how to handle the cold here in the northeast. You will have an adjustment period so please give it time I don’t think you will mind not shifting now that you have steady power till it runs out. Best of luck with your new toy.

Lots of reasons to live in S.I. But not a lot of reasons to visit. The island is pass through country on your way to NJ,PA or some other state. As for the cold heated gear and a union suit will get you very far.

I upgraded the battery. You have to swap out the stock battery if you plan on doing anything to it at all. sway bar and end links are a must. Just the end links make a huge difference. You know me, I'm always taking this thing to the limit and back. Always riding in sport mode. I like your setup and colors. Looks good.

Love the channel, my ride is also a 2021 Ryker 900 Ace with a few mods. First mod was a steering damper, i commute to work via a 30 minute freeway ride in SoCal and the damper really helped with wiggly stock steering while on the freeway. Second mod is a windshield and third is a set of hand guards with LED lighting that connects to the Ryker plug and play electrical system on the left side of the cowl. Fourth mod is an LED glowlight system with a set of 6 LED lights that i tapped into the brake lights that makes the whole trike glow red when i brake. Fifth mod is the Maxmount, sixth is the LinQ top case for storage. I love my Ryker, bought used in April of 2023 with only 275 miles on it. I now have close to 4000 highway miles on it. It does attract attention because of it's unique design and thats what drew me into getting one!
@SIRyker Жыл бұрын
Yea that design is eye catching. Your mods sound sweet I am really looking into the steering dampener myself. Which one did you install i think there are a few makers now. I had a 30 min commute as well but wasn’t blessed with California weather.

I just bought mine last week. Found a good deal on a 2020 900 Rally and scooped it up. I've already taken on challenges with it I would have feared on two wheels (think a steep, uphill road with tight, blond corners). But on the Ryker? It was easy. I have a touch of vertigo, which has made two wheels a little difficult. I feel much safer on this. The best part? I managed to pay cash, so it's 100% mine and feels SO good!

re: sway bars. The BajaRon sway bar takes most of the grief out of changing one out, because it's three-piece. That means you can cut the old one to remove it, slide the new one into place, and add the end pieces. Easy peasy... the only thing you have to do is move the radiator and cooling fan out of the way. In contrast, replacing the factory sway bar with another one-piece involves a whole lot more disassembly.
@SIRyker6 ай бұрын
If I recall correctly you don’t need to remove much to replace any of the bars. The key problem is getting the machine high enough to swing the bar in or out. The Baja 2 piece bar does make install easier and cutting makes removal easier as well.
@troystallard68956 ай бұрын
@@SIRyker Looks like you're right about just getting the Ryker high enough. I cut my old sway bar most of the way through this afternoon, grabbed the end to break the last bit - and the whole bar basically fell out in my hand. I suspect another one-piece bar wouldn't stuff back in as easily as this one dropped out, but I'm sure it would go....
@SIRyker6 ай бұрын
@@troystallard6895 I have seen others cut the old bar out. Totally valid way of going about things. However the unbent bar is the only one you can put back in without jacking up the trike. I have also seen someone put a nasty gouge in the control arm because the grinder slipped ! I take it you got your new bar installed so please let me know how much of a difference you think it made.

@@SIRyker I didn't get finished today; I started late and ran out of daylight. I'll knock it out tomorrow, and day after I'm making a 40 mile round trip. That should be a good test run, and I'll let you know what I think. And yeah, I had the Ryker jacked up high. At my age (75), I'm not wild about hunching down any more than I have to while I work on things.
@troystallard68956 ай бұрын
@@SIRyker Took it on a 40 mile round trip today, and I was surprised by how much easier the Ryker is to control on rough pavement and bumpy roads. It isn't nearly as squirrely now; it's like I installed a steering stabilizer. And if one front wheel hits a pothole, the wheel mostly bounces and absorbs it, instead of the whole bike shaking. I didn't really notice much difference on curves, but that's probably because I'm still taking them pretty conservatively. I also installed a jockey shift lever, and wish I had bought it on day one....

Dec23,2023 ( I had a bad experience with Yellow with no power on a major bridge and was the pump) check that one ....still love the machine event after that event. @SIRykerАй бұрын
@@getrichkidd4986 no problem those gloves are from cycle gear house brand( Sedici Corsa Gloves ) and are currently about 120$ they are “marketed” as track gloves . They have kept up well with only a Velcro strap having delaminated and I just glued it back together no further problems. They seem very protective for the price. I would recommend trying them on as I think they run snug on my hand. They do take a bit of fiddling to get them over a bulky sleeve. Once on they are fairly comfortable but relatively stiff. Hope that helps.

Good morning possible you could give me some insight on a passenger seat
@SIRyker4 ай бұрын
@@douglasmckay5968 I would love to but I can’t as I don’t have one for my Ryker. That being said I’m sure for a short ride it would be fine but I don’t think the experience would be as pleasant as say on an RT OR F3. The Ryker is small and having a passenger sitting that high and far back would throw off the balance and hence the handling. Also taking into account how big you and passenger are you might bottom out the suspension. If two up is in the future I would go with a bigger trike. I have road two up on my Spyder and it’s not to bad. That’s just my opinion take it for what it is.

@SIRyker Жыл бұрын
Honestly I have never tried the model you mentioned. Im sure it’s a quality helmet as the maker is an established European manufacturer. Helmet choice is very personal and once you get past the obvious safety threshold it comes down to comfort and style. You see me rocking a black N44 EVO which is not made anymore and replaced by the N70-2 GT which i have as well. They are basically the same helmet! I like mine for the awesome field of view and the integrated com system. Im sure if you got the N80 you would be happy with it. I don’t believe that it is set up for an integrated com and you might wish to look into that . I also like the ratchet system as opposed to traditional D rings. The ratchet is easier to use with gloves in my opinion.

I used a slingmods wire splitter and connected to accessory port on bike not to the battery. The accessory port is switched so no chance of draining battery. FYI THE INSIDE OF THIS GRIP IS HARD PLASTIC AND WILL NOT SLIDE EASILY ON BAR OR THROTTLE TUBE ! I WOULD SAND THE INNER TUBE TO MAKE IT BIGGER AND REMOVE THE THROTTLE TUBE FROM THE HOUSING AND PUT GRIO ON THEN REINSTALL ON TRIKE. I BUSTED THE THROTTLE CONTROL INSTALLING MINE .
