This was an excellent video man! I love how casual you are in the delivery and you are so honest and genuine. I am taking the 3 wheel course in Pittsburgh next week and hope to jave my first ever bike after! I'm 55 and definitely want to be as safe as possible, so thanks for these tips! I will be watching more and subscribing to your channel.

@@labbett87 thank you for subscribing it much appreciated .It helps not to have a script kinda keeps you grounded lol. I’ll be making more Ryker/spyder content just not in mood to ride that often just to hot in the summer. Good luck with your course and welcome to the tribe of trikes.

Didn't know there are turkeys in Staten Island. I like watching your vids. I got a Ryker a few months back. Traded my Vstar 1300 in. Was tired of the added stress every time I did a Legion ride(259) it seemed to rain. Gotta love that upstate weather. One of these days I'll make a vid. I got mine used and there were lots of hidden surprises I can talk about. Plus I did some cool mods. Love that thing. Thanks

Nice job, I have only about 2500 miles on my 900 and enjoying it, other than when people tailgate me. The single lane roads are usually the most scenic but all I get is impatient people that love to go well over the speed limit so I avoid a single lane road. I agree with every tip you gave, great job.

@@brianh.3468 I’m glad your enjoying your ride. I tried to include as much as I remembered lol but there is so much more. Save the tailgating for the stadium.

A lot of common sense in this video. I rode in my twenties, and had a wreck that damn near killed me; I spent six months in the hospital. Rode for a while in my forties, and life just got in the way. Now I'm in my seventies, and looking for basic daily transportation and a little fun. Ryker seems to fill the bill...
@SIRyker7 ай бұрын
Yep I certainly can fit the bill if you just want something to get back into things.

My second time through this video.... When I lean into a curve I push down on the outside peg, and press that knee or both of them against the bike. I also found that replacing the crappy factory sway bar and end links upped my comfortable speed on curves and rough roads by at least ten mph.
@SIRyker6 ай бұрын
I press on outside peg , sometimes open the inside knee sometimes press it in. I don’t think there is a wrong or right as long as you don’t fly off lol.

I appreciate the tips for new riders, just picked up my Ryker at the end of Sept. Got a 600, I heard that sneak diss! When you mentioned the ever present VSS, can you elaborate more? I have had a few VSS issues already
@SIRyker Жыл бұрын
Going into limp mode can be caused by several things. First things first make sure you don’t ride with the brake pressed . When i mean pressed all you need is the brake light to come on . Learn to get off gas while braking. The other reason would be a bad sensor. Unfortunately there isn’t much you can do yourself . Get a repair shop that knows what they are doing. I wish i could tell you more but unfortunately that is the nature of the beast. I have a few videos on the subject maybe you will find them helpful if not many have made videos on this subject.

🤣"we don't admit that there's a 600"🤣, that's hilarious because when i was telling my son about these, because he's interested in getting one, i never once mentioned the 600🤣, no he will not hear that from me, and when he finds out that there is indeed a 600, i will immediately detour him from even thinking about getting a 600, I'm not above making up horrible untruths about the 600🤣, no son of mine will own a 600 ryker

Questions why you're hating the 600..??
@SIRyker Жыл бұрын
I don’t hate it so much as don’t understand why they make it. The smaller engine offers no real benefits unlike a 2 wheel motorcycle where you trade power for maneuverability in some cases. Losing a single cylinder isn’t worth the cost savings . It’s also not that the 900 will get you into any more trouble like a 400 vs a 1000 liter bike.

Where can I get the helmet
@SIRyker9 ай бұрын
I wish I had a goto place but they went out of business. It’s a Nolan N70-2 GT Helmet if that helps. You might be able to pick it up at revzilla. I would also recommend the ncom com system as it fits perfectly into the lid. Not the best for group ride communication but for blasting tunes it works well
