True watching you on you tubes ( i Don really trust tik tok) has made me mentally so much stronger, and not just in the fighting sense i know how to do that,it's been my life. But i am learning to be kind and to want things and actually believe i deserve them as well. I find that weird but on the same note thanks for teaching me that.❤

I'm currently adapting to having a Mastiff puppy in my home. I have spent years talking with my family about getting me a stability/mobility service dog. I'm a fall risk due to my Sensory Processing Disorder, so I need a dog big enough to absorb some of my weight, and we decided on either a Newfoundland or a Mastiff. The problem we had run into was the cost of obtaining a quality dog and paying for it to be properly trained. My grandpa's hospice nurse was telling my aunt about a litter of Mastiff puppies their dog had in June. My aunt mentioned that one of those puppies could make a good service dog for me. Then the nurse found out that my brother is a military veteran. She and her husband have a soft spot for veterans, so they dropped their asking price. My brother's disability rating with the VA was just increased and he is getting a bigger check every month. On top of that, we knew that my grandpa was in his last days, he passed peacefully Monday night. My mom had talked about using some of her inheritance to pay for a trained service dog, whenever the money came through. The nurse's female Mastiff is actually a service dog for her daughter, so she picked one with a similar temperament for me. My brother paid for the puppy and supplies, and my mom is going to pay for her training once she's old enough. It is my job to do most of the caretaking of my 10 week old girl. Having a puppy feels like having a newborn baby and a toddler all rolled into one adorable ball of fur. I'm exhausted, but I know that we will both adapt to each other and find ways of communicating with each other given enough time and patience.

I have an English Mastiff as a mobility aid. She's awesome. Take as many baby pictures as you can. They grow so fast! The best training advice I ever got was to treat her like she already the 100lb+ being she's going to be.

@@CirceIsland I've been taking pictures of her sitting in one of our deck chairs. The chair acts as a constant to make seeing her grow easier to track. She will be 16 weeks on Friday and she is already 35 pounds. Her mom comes up to my hip in the shoulders. Every time I see her, she leans into me like she is trying to hug me.

This is something I needed to hear, as I am trying to stomach the fact that I need physical therapy for my back to help with the pain of a narrowed disc in my L5-S1.

I've been having the same problem for many years my friend. Hopefully for different reasons, but the same problem. Have you tried rowing as an exercise yet? I find it does wonders for me. Best of luck to you. Hammar!
@shadoewater4 ай бұрын
@vincepod mine is a genetic thing, as my dad has the same problems in the same area. As for rowing, no. I have no equipment or gym membership, due to low funds. And the pain I experience makes walking and standing for more than a minute extremely difficult. So, I'm trying what my physical therapist suggested and if it helps then I'll be able to gradually work my way up. I also have other chronic conditions that make more strenuous exercise a no-go for me right now, until I get those under control.

I’m staring done the barrel of 44. I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been at 190 ish. And I used to be a martial artist. I used to be fast. I’m not now, and I don’t like that. I will never be again what I was 20 years ago. Too much water under the bridge, too much physical strain, too much age. But I can be better than I am right now… one day at a time, one step on the path, one swing of the sword. Thanks, Tank. You’re exactly the inspiration this old warrior needs.

Even the best still work the basics. The stronger the foundation, the more you can build on top of it. Never feel bad about starting, never feel bad for not being at the end of your journey. The end result may be the goal, but that's not the important part. Being happy along the way will mean so much more than the end result ever could. Write a good story. Stay strong, keep going, enjoy the process. HAMMAR!!!

I think that this is something that everyone can relate to. There is a process for many ways to improve oneself. And not doing it right is only going to get you hurt… or worse! Slight gamer comparison, when Kratos FORCED his way into Valhalla, via sheer brute strength. He thought that he could do it with just Mimir at his side… he thought wrong. But then when he did it the right way, he got amazing results. Do not skip the tutorial, it exists for a reason! 😅😊
