I am no expert on longevity but I would expect this fan to last 10+ years based on other ceiling fans I have had. LED lights usually last a really long time and the electric motors on these fans have a 10+ year life expectancy. Hope that helps.

Does this move as much or more air in your opinion than a standard fan / light combo?

I would say it does move a lot of air, but in a more concentrated area. These are great for small rooms. If you have a big room and only want one fan, it's best to get a bigger fan to match the room size. That said, it works great in my office, even on low.

Does it have a memory function built in. Say that I have the fan on, thru the remote. I turn off the light switch on the wall off. After some time has passed. I flip the light switch back on, will it turn on to its last setting?

Not that I know of. If you turn off the main switch it just turns on the light when it comes back on.

There are four screws and inserts provided to mount on extension brackets to help support it better if you don't have the box supported in the Ceiling

Quick question for you I just purchased this fan, and I was thrown off due to the fans wire color. In my past installations I had never came across a light fixture with a brown wire before. My ceiling junction box on has the white and black wires.

I am trying to remember the wires. I don't remember a brown wire. There should be a black wire (hot/live), a white wire (neutral) and a green wire (ground). Is the brown wire the antenna? I think there is usually an antenna wire hanging off too.

Hmm, I am not sure that is a part you can replace. I would reach out to the seller on that to see what they can do.

Did you notice if the fan was a "Listed Unit"? More and more products are coming from China that are not listed. (UL) My customer just sent a similar fan back as the unit didn't have a single sticker in the canopy...

No, it does a good job of moving the air around the room. If it's a smaller room, these work great. If it's a large room like a family room, you might not be able to feel it further away from the fan.

Nice video presentation, but you should have silenced yourself while going through the various fan speeds so viewers could hear how much (if any) noise the fan made.
