I wash my scalp every Sunday and cowash midweek either Wednesday or Thursday to remoisturize and detangle. My hair is shedding less, less breakage and my SSK are almost non existent. When I changed to this routine my hair is doing much better. I use the every three day rule. But that scalp is getting shampooed weekly.
@TKr94916 жыл бұрын
I co washed once, never again. Within 3 days my scalp was itchy. I clarify bi weekly using a sulfate shampoo. My hair won't have it any other way.
@blondiescakeface15554 жыл бұрын
Don't take one doctors opinion as fact. If it works for you keep doing it, I'd just add a Sunday shampoo once a week or entry other week, to deeply cleanse your hair. But wrong my hair and reapplying conditioner daily really helps my hair shedb less and grow allot

Medium to coarse simply means your hair will take heat and chemicals better than those with fine hair I.e. less breakage. When it comes to styling as well, your actual hair strand can withstand more manipulation than those with fine hair. In retrospect, your hair isn’t as fragile as those with fine hair. Texture refers to the diameter of the hair strand. Diameter refers to the thickness of width of a single hair strand. Hope this helps lol

+Candy Apple Stay away from that stylist. They are out of touch with the real world. Heat denatures hair proteins structure, meaning it has been irreversibly changed.

I no longer cowash simply because it’s not an effective way to clean the hair and scalp which is my most people have itchy scalp, like me, when I stopped cowashing and switched to shampooing my hair has been growing like crazy, and my itchy scalp is gone, my hair is a lot healthier now that I’ve made the switch.

Everything is about balance. I listen to my hair. I clarify at least once a month. I co-wash whenever my hair need it. I shampoo my hair to clean my scalp. You have to do that as well. Thanks for your video.

Medium to coarse is the thickness of your strand, coarse strands are very thick and if you take one strand and hold it with two fingers you’ll be able to feel it a lot, if you don’t feel it at all then your hair is fine.

Alexis Giselle Hey Alexis my bestest friend is AUSSIE CONDITIONER!!!2016 I STOPPED RELAXING...2017 BIG CHOP i had cut my hair up 2 my neck....tried various products... Finally settled on Aussie...maybe two times a week I put oil in my hair... Pure virgin oil from the supermarket :-) Did a Deep hair conditioner 3x so far... Using Garnier leave in conditioner started one week ago... Co wash almost everyday maybe twice.... everything is working out well ... I do shampoo when I know I have build up. My hair is more than half way down my back!😀YAY!!! P.S. i band my hair to the back a pony tail... different scrunchies according to the color clothes that I wear... Plan to keep doing it until my hair grows to my waist !...GOALS!!! (🙌👏👍for you!! Your hair is really nice!) I SUBSCRIBED to your content, cool stuff!!)😀💃

I clarify my hair once a month to every 2 months. It depends on you. Of course you are going to be having buildup on your scalp. Black people tend to use a lot of products. Some black people don't even wash weekly. Some wash every couple of days. But if your hair is healthy and thriving, I would think it would be fine.

You have lovely curls. For me I rotate. One week I will cowash and the following week i shampoo. It seems to work for me. Now if I've used a lot of gel or other products in a week I'll go head and clarify followed by a deep conditioner.

Manuka honey & mafura oil is a good one by Shea moisture, creme of nature argan oil, or jbco by Shea moisture which is a clarifying shampoo all three are sulfate free

Would you shower with lotion and shea butter but still consider your skin clean because you used soap once this week or month? Skin, hair, and nails are made up of the same protein yet we have weird rules about hair.
@fatimamanneh37226 жыл бұрын
Mister Posh I hope you do know as black women we don't or can't wash our hair with shampoo everyday so once a week or every two weeks is fine but most of us do wash our bodies everyday with soap it is no different than other races of women like white women for example most of them don't practice everyday washing of their bodies especially here in America

Fine, Medium and coarse refer to the actual size ‘diameter’ of your individual hair strands. Hair density refers to the actual number of hairs on your head. You already know about typing 4a, 4c etc.

Shawntas Way You brought up a good point about mixing it up a little bit. I cowash a lot because I color. Due to cowashing I only color every 4-6 Months not weeks, and even then I only touch up my roots. I do clarify with a nonsufactant sometimes. Shampoo comes with my color kit and whenever I use it, kid you not, the next day my hair always appear to have grown an inch or so in places without me stretching or pulling it down. It's like my hair was sleeping and I reawakened the follicles via shampooing or something. THAT really made me question the whole idea of never shampooing. This is another reason why I added nopoo clarifying to my routine. It seems to help as my hair is growing, but after your video I may try to find some High Quality shampoo. I have some intermittent gray and don't want my color fading. Another Great Vid😘

You look stunningly beautiful today! The shirt, and hair...you are simply glowing girl! I definitely agree with you. There has to be a balance. I usually clarify once a month, and wash biweekly. If I need a refresher then I cowash, but bc I can't wash weekly I just use a moisturizing shampoo. My two new faves are the hydrating shampoo by the mane choice, and the ginger rinse by Camille Rose.

I could never CO-wash or even go sulfate-free (I have a scalp condition). And so I clarify weekly, wash weekly, with a sulfate shampoo. My hair is butt length right now (classic length) and I'm thinking it is true. Build-up and a dirty scalp is never OK. It's known that a healthy scalp means good hair growth. Thanks for sharing!
