All you can do is shrink your circle to the people you are a priority to. It's totally ok to move on. People grow and change. If you feel like just an option, and not a priority, just make them an option and not a priority. No conversation needed. Just a mind shift.

i know that i express my love and affection for my friends through quality time, so i can get upset when i don’t feel they want to spend time with me in return. my friend shows her love through acts of service. for her, she feels resentment when friends aren’t helping her out without being asked. non-reciprocation isn’t always intentional, so you have to evaluate whether you’re being taken advantage of of if people just genuinely don’t understand how you’d like to receive their affection and efforts. the other thing i’ve struggled with is realizing that some people will just never be great friends and to take them for what they are. one of my longest friends disappears every time she gets a significant other, and it used to bother me a lot. i’ve come to realize that i can’t expect her to be the same friend to me that i am to her, because she never will be. i have learned to enjoy her company when she wants to hang out, and not put my energy into her otherwise.

I wish I could be the friend Chris needs during the times of loneliness. I’m very available and usually love giving people attention who desperately need it especially in the ways they need them. I hope they find happiness and if for whatever reason Chris reads this and it resonates with him I’m open. I’m not a social media person but I believe that if you need you’ll find a way to communicate. I feel so much empathy when hearing the way Chris talks about how he feels and I’m sure I’m not the only one who listens and hears the same thing I catch unto. He’s a great soul and I I hope he can have a fraction of the happiness he gives others.

Pls, pls, pls don’t stop making Podcasts! I know it’s a lot of pressure, might seem tedious, and maybe like no one cares but you’re helping so many ppl through daily life by giving them the comedic relief they need, that puts a smile on my face every time I listen. Also, pls stop insulting someone I admire dearly to; you. You work so hard and I just get the feeling you never feel like you’re enough. Newsflash; U SO R! You, believe it or not, are educational and drop dead hilarious! And your natural sense of fashion is a gift! AND everyone has their own sort of problems due to their living situations and just bc you don’t have it worse than some ppl doesn’t mean you don’t have the right to acknowledge your own struggles in life. Truly, Your long time listener/watched of your vids, unhinged sista

Regarding the friends not reciprocating, I felt the same at one point, till I took into account that everyone has different love languages and that doesn’t apply to just your romantic partners. Yeah, there may be some that don’t reciprocate at all, but I think that can be blind sighted or misunderstood by the love language of the individual since were more familiar with what our love language is.

Not just will it balance out, be careful with how much you give; When people are used to taking your energy and not giving back, it's their issue, but then stop giving out that much energy to see how much will be reciprocated. Give them a chance to show you. Then you'll know.

i do hope you see this chris bc this did seem to be effecting you quite a bit. this isn’t about to be some lecture, i just tend to overexplain to avoid misinterpretation. i think something thats important to understand is that not every one of your friends will always be capable of reciprocation and thats totally okay. much like what jake said, “real friends” will eventually show you the same but if you always expect reciprocation you’ll end up with more disappointment than you deserve. it took me a long time to grasp this concept bc i was someone who was 24/7 putting in effort to those i felt weren’t doing the same. it takes a lot of reevaluating every relationship and taking inventory every so often: are your friends as financially stable? mentally stable? shelter stable? if you’re doing something for a friend, there’s a big chance they were probably in need in that moment and most likely weren’t in a place to give back. i’ve also been that person, the friend that can take but can’t give. at my worst mental lows i cant do shit for anyone, let alone myself. again, just something to consider and potentially give some more perspective on the situation

You put out genuine content and you do your best to make the world just a little bit better. Plus you're paying all these people to do the house things for you BECAUSE you don't know what you're doing😂 the least they could do is keep track of the vanity you paid so much money for.
