I remember when jurgen brought a throw in specialist i thought it was a fabulous idea but the pundits n media were laughing at us because it was an alien concept to them. But result showed we were winning transitions and fast counter attacks from throw in. Opposition were caught flat footed at times. There was a massive improvement in us winning possession from throw-in situations with your coaching. This decision makes sense for all parties like you explained and it is what it is. Interestingly I'd been wondering for a while (this season at least, maybe previous season) why we didn't quite seem at the same level with our throw-ins, and now I understand why!! I wonder if you've ever (or are going to be) working with Brentford, given how dangerous they're known to be with attacking set-play throw-ins. Might get them into Europe with your help haha!

This is a mistake on behalf of the club which needs to excel in every possible margin. I can only think that either the idea of kick-ins replacing throw-ins becoming a reality or it's just another terrible BTS decision made by the club in the last few years.

Vast majority of teams act and behave the same when taking a throw in. All set pieces should be varied and coached. This period of football has seen the growth of technical skills but an absence of clever set pieces. Just like quality defensive tackling is very rare. Looking at the comments on a lot of videos I don’t think the majority of fans now actually understand football.

Throw-in strategy is still so primitive everywhere. You are far ahead of your time. I’m convinced teams can memorize different patterns of movement to outwit opponents, similar to basketball plays. But everyone thinks I’m nuts. I’m not.
