Sounds like Afib you're dealing with. I had the cardiac ablation surgery down in Austin at St. Davids by Dr Gerald Gallinghouse. It's world renowned and I believe he was part of a team in San Francisco that pioneered the proceedure. Get it done! The longer you wait the more difficult is to correct according to Dr. Gallinghouse. They have all kinds of stats on it. And yes, stress and caffeine are not good for the condition.

You will find the triggers that are causing it. Glad that you shared your condition with us. Good luck Gerrit you’re an inspiration to many young men today.

Sounds like something i dealt with for about 6 months from end of 2022 through the spring on 2023. If you don't already have one go to see an EP, an electrophysiologist, it's a heart doctor that specializes in the electric rhythm of the heart, honestly had no idea doctors like that existed till i was at my worst dealing with this in the hospital. I was having episodes multiple times a day and it was draining the life out of me, was scared to do anything really. i had two cardiac ablation surgeries over those 6 months and it changed my life, very safe and normal procedure and is the best way to get an idea of what's going on with the electric rhythm of your heart and if that's the issue. Sadly my issue stems more from the nodes on my heart not working properly, so to really fix it i'd need to have a procedure that has a high percentage of me needing a pacemaker if it doesn't go in my favor and at 26 years old, just doesn't make sense. But staying off caffeine, limiting how much sugar i take in, and being on medicine that controls it but doesn't mess with my energy level has made a worlds difference, i still deal with little blips but it's much more manageable and the biggest thing for me, i know why it's happening. The uncertainty during those 6 months was the hardest part to get through, just know if you're dealing with something similar it's not gonna kill you and you can fight through it, but it's good to really get to the root of the issues so you can move forward with out any uncertainty. You got it G!

Good days and bad days but more often bad days, and anything would set it off, and was hard to shake off... Started golf about 5 years ago and when i started playing competitions ect anxiety would mess game up. I tried everything from CBD oil to therapy, nothing helped it really until i came across Box Breathing exercises... 4 seconds inhale, 4 seconds hold, 4 seconds exhale, 4 seconds hold... Rinse and Repeat, do this every morning for 5-10 mins and before bed for 5-10 mins, and any time you feel like you're becoming anxious .... This has honestly changed my life. All the best.

ICD implant and meds and it seems to be under control. My doctor didn't think it was anything major, told me the same to get more sleep and avoid stress. Since then, I get lightheaded whenever I get up or I’m bent down for a long period, also the anxiety and stress is certainly a trigger. I have had the same heart condition as you since my mid 20s. Sudden accelerated heart rate that lasted anywhere from 5-30 minutes. Found out my brother and sister both have it as well. Good news is it is not life threatening . Talk to your doc about it and they’ll come up with a plan. Good luck!

Dude I had that exact heart issue for 15 years and I just got an ablation done and have been 100% since then. I had a “Supraventricular tachycardia of the intranodal reentry type” my heart would randomly jump out of rhythm and beat super fast until I would feel like passing out and then randomly jump back into rhythm. At first doctors thought it was wolf Parkinson’s white syndrome but ultimately decided it was an auxiliary pathway causing re entry near the node. That would be crazy if it was that exact same thing! I was put on medication which only made me feel like I was living at 80% at best. I finally had enough and opted in for the surgery. Best decision of my life. I've felt at or around 100% ever since. If this is something that your doctors figure out and there is a surgical procedure to fix it, I recommend going for it. You may not have what I had but knowing how I felt and how I feel now, it's best to get it taken care of properly. And getting it taken care of while you're young will help with the recovery. I hope you find some answers and have many, many rounds ahead of you.

Pebble Beach sounds lovely. That's your destination, right? I'm sorry to hear about your heart issue. It seems somewhat similar to what I've experienced, though you haven't mentioned any back injuries or issues, so it might not be exactly the same. My condition involves nerve damage in the thoracic spine, which causes problems when that area stiffens up, similar to the symptoms you described. I find that muscle relaxants help snap things back into the correct rhythm for me. High stress can sometimes trigger similar issues for me as well, though it's hard to tell if it's the stress directly causing the problem or if it's the stress leading to stiffness in my back, which then causes the issue. What I do know is that the medication works. However, this might not be applicable to you since I have an underlying injury. Your condition sounds more like something highly trained endurance athletes might experience, perhaps an issue with the heart's electrical pathways or even a double neural pathway to the heart. (If its the last one its easaly fixable at the hospital.) Regardless, proper sleep and less stress are crucial for managing it. Best wishes for your recovery, mate!

Garrett, the reason your game is off is as you admitted in a previous video you don’t practice. You also are highly involved in the continuing success of the your babies(Good Good Golf and GM Golf) that is a lot to do and expect you to keep your game top notch. Even the pros practice continually practice with coaches. The only way to keep your game sharp is to practice. Practicing could also be a psychological release for clearing your mind. Just you and your clubs. Forget al the business stuff for a few hours a week. Best of luck buddy!

As far as the tournament, I heard you talk about George and Grant. What about Luke? I would think all off Good Good would be supporting him in the tournament!

Stroke play is awesome to see! Let’s face it, most of the time we’re playing stroke play in real life so to watch you do it too gives a realistic sense of what you shoot. Love it.

Your heart condition can be diagnosed by wearing a holter monitor….its a constant EKG reading for 12/24/48 hours. Can be fixed by either meds, or doing a cardiac ablation.

I had heart Atrial fibrillation about 15 years ago and would pass out. My resting heart rate was like 115bpm and would fluctuate. My doctor put me on a medication that made me even feel more weird so stopped taking it ..he also said drink more electrolytes and it was so weird it just went away. IDK why but never came back but defiantly will pray for your health.

Set something up with the Bryan Bros on their course in South Carolina where you guys allow fans to come out and watch. Having spectators might get you in that tournament mindset. Added bonus for myself, I live in SC and would definitely come out and watch

Love this. Requesting more Allen/Plano courses. Pecan Hollow, Watters Creek, Heritage Ranch, etc. 👍🏻👍🏻

Idk if Garrett will see this but I dealt with what seems like a similar heart issue (for me it was random bradycardia and PVC's). My physical therapist had me start cervical spine exercises because he thinks my vagus nerve was being compressed from a past car wreck coupled with years of computer work. Within a few days of doing those exercises my heart issues were resolved.
