I just had a convo with a blk co-worker today. He told me that another guy was an Uncle Tom. I told him, I'm 1 also. He laughed & said, naw man, Ive been knowing u too long & know you aren't. I said, obviously you've never read Uncle Tom's Cabin, he was actually the good guy. He was kind of amazed & promised to read the book.

Isn't Uncle Tom the guy who was beaten up badly? Why would you refer to yourself as "Uncle Tom"?😂

Back when "Our lives , Our fortunes and our Sacred honor" actually meant something . I always welcome personal attacks since it means they got nothing else to respond with , so IMO is it like they are admitting they are wrong and know it.

George Mason, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson were southerns from my state of Virginia who spoke out against slavery but because of others weren't allowed to codify it as illegal or even really free their slaves

The only reason why they call you and uncle Tom or a sellout is because you did your research and found out a whole different story and I never understood how somebody could be a sellout for educating their selves

I have always wondered why "Uncle Tom" was used as a slur when Tom was the noblest character in the book. Now that I know Uncle Tom was portrayed as a buffoon in stage performances in the south it makes sense. THANK YOU, this video was educational. Please do a part 2, and describe the actions of Sambo and Quimbo, the real sellouts.

noble is a stretch. Tom was mistreated and chose to remain on the plantation.

You know you said something logical that they can’t refute so they call you such names. I love it when they reveal how they think all blacks should think the same. True racist expose themselves.

This was a great topic. However, I knew about this decade ago. Any black person that has ever watched the classic television show The Jeffersons should know this information as well. That was an episode in which Louise's uncle came to visit and George kept calling him Uncle Tom. Louise's uncle had to eventually school George on who Uncle Tom really was and in the process he checked George by throwing him a whole lot of shade, Making Georgia Jefferson look like an absolute fool. I honestly wish God would hurry up and in this world sometimes or at least bring back the days of Noah. I am so sick of all this Republican versus Democrat white versus black young versus old this versus that. Everyone seems to be good that we're all simply humans who were meant to get along with one another. It's supposed to be us versus Satan not us versus each other.
