I believe this to be true whether or not you are actively filtering out spam and negativity. As to future content, I recommend speaking to your experiences and lessons learned as a business owner and entreprenuer. I think this question of making an honest but independent living drew me to your channel more than anything to do with backpacking or gear. Now I'm an even bigger fan, even though I kinda said eff this backpacking thing after my last thru-hike attempt and am now relishing being basic (I even traveled to NYC to participate in a Peloton class). Your video speaks a universal truth - the only constant in life, is change. You owe zero explanation for coming back on your own YT channel. I'd love to hear more about gear recommendations for those of us who are intermittently in the outdoors and/or have to fly to outdoor locations. My considerations are usually viewed through the lenses of price relative to use volume, packability, product lifespan, and things like that. I think there are a lot of us who love the outdoors but don't necessarily have it out our back door. I'd love more content about how plan trips effectively when flying to your destination. Hey Darwin, I've shifted from scripts to just following an outline and then freestyling from there. By doing the outline, it lets me compose my thoughts but lets me freeform the rest of the show so it sounds a lot more natural. It's so much more enjoyable than writing scripts.

I’m glad you will be back…life we all need it and sometimes we just need to sort things out. Your content helped me to recover from a surgery where my carotid artery was 96% blocked, I found your videos and they inspired me to get moving. Do I hike like you do, nope but I have made a bunch of healthy changes. I have found some hobbies that I had forgotten about for over 30 years and got an amazing pup that forces me to get out there and move will I ever do a trail… it’s possible and when I’m there I’ll be referencing your content. Your channel was the 3rd one I ever subscribed to on the tube and I’m still subscribed today so thanks for being you.

Hey Darwin… So much of what information I learned about ultralight hiking gear I learned from your videos. The amount of do’s and don’ts, the gear I never knew existed(I am a hiker from FL so we are kind of out of the hiking loop a little here;FL trail is big but no water makes it very tough and the heat!!!!), to even the more budget friendly, (sorry to say in my case), gear that could get me out there hiking and enjoying myself. Even if you never made another video, even if you never helped anyone else other than me, I hope you rest your head at night feeling accomplished. You have made an impact and difference in my life.
