Currently, I am also working on replacing the MG-4CN. However, the frame and sleeve are caught and cannot be removed. Flex Marks, were you able to remove the sleeve by hitting it with a hammer?

I didn’t hit the sleeve directly with a hammer. I put a small 2x4 against the sleeve and hit that with a sledgehammer. Also put a bit of wd40 before that also.

@@monkeyero9756 Yes, it’s wood. Doesn’t have to specifically be a 2x4 but just make sure it’s thick enough that it won’t split when you’re banging it with the sledgehammer.

If you dont mind me asking, why did you go with the short sleeve?

Mostly bc it was cheaper but now that I’ve used the short sleeve versions I think it’s more practical for home gym usage since it’s easier to store and maneuver around the gym.

@@flexmarksthespot Thanks for responding! I was thinking the same to save on price, I just didn't wanna do it and regret later if I needed more room on the sleeves lol

@@josegarciajr7117 Even with the short sleeves, I can fit more than 4 Rogue deep dish plates on each side, which is far more than I bench with a straight bar anyway. Plus the camber makes the lift harder, making you lift less than on a straight bar anyway.

Do you recommend getting the 16 and 20 degree handles? Or would you go with one angle if ordering again?

@@TheAndrewch it’s preference, just depends how you want your hands angled for close grip. It wouldn’t make a difference to me having 2x16 or doing 1x16 + 1x20 tbh

How did you end up removing rhe sleeves for the trade-in process? Having some issues with my 4CN.

I used a sledgehammer to knock it out but wedged a scrap piece of wood between the sleeve and hammer to not damage it.

Good review...I agree with everyone...will never buy a V1 again without seeing lots of reviews. I seriously think that Rogue pulled a fast one here...to me the design of this bar is fantastic...but in the end its pure Garbage...it wobble way to much, the ''customization'' is way to minimal to have an impact...whoever have this bar will tell you that its a pain to move the handle and if you dont put rubber gasket with the bolts you will ruin your bar...and guess what they dont come with the bar! I have so much anger toward this bar...I am glad I sold it...even if I lost money. I am a true Rogue fan...but this one was too much...if I can get a similar item with same quality...I will buy it somewhere else. If you want to get this bar...think about it because you will be disappointed. Again...nice review...will check to see what you will review next

I just posted a comparison between all of the major multi-grip camber bars if you're curious 😬. I really did like the original MG-4C but yeah like you said, felt like they tried to pull a fast one by immediately coming out with the narrow version shortly after. Glad they let us swap it out though.

@@flexmarksthespot yeah you are lucky...I had a bought a second hand bar so Rogue didnt want to swap it. Im done with camber bars, they are really nice but they take a lot of space for the usage.

I'll always wait for reviews before pulling the trigger on any V1 equipment. Rogue needs to let you and other equipment reviewers test before releasing it to the masses

I have this bar along with the same Black handles and Sleeves. Have you had any issues with those sleeves being "sticky" when loading and unloading weights? It seems as though the tolerances are too tight and weights do not move on and off as freely as they do on typical Rogue barbells. @flexmarksthespot
