I always thought I loved slimmer necks until I got my Lazarus…I remember being shocked the first time I picked it up, the neck felt huge but…now it’s my # 1 guitar. LOVE IT!!!

I've never liked big necks, my first "real" lp was a zakk wylde epiphone and the neck was literally a california redwood cut in half. The neck on the Lazarus isn't huge and I really didn't mind it at first, but eventually I just let it sit and just started reaching for all my other guitars with thinner necks. Personally preference is a funny thing

I was switching back the pickup rings to the ones it came with, I had put on taller ones that were more accurate to a 59

Lazarus is selling above retail now which is a little surprising to me for an Epiphone but it’s definitely because it’s a limited number. The 50’s necks are great for rhythm playing but I like the feel of slim taper better in general.

it's all personal preference my friend, i'd recommend trying one out in person to decide if you like it or not

I’ve got a Lazarus and have the same issue with the neck. Not huge but just a little bit hefty compared with my Gibson LP Classic (‘60s neck)

Have you ever played a les paul special by Epiphone? The one with the p-90’s? Are the necks similar?

Lol I had the exact guitars the sweetwater honeyburst which yes was a disappointment with the orange tangerine like burst sold it and my Lazarus I sold yes the neck just didn’t feel like my Gibson slash which I love ..great guitar Lazarus for bread but I too was not picking it up much…just didn’t look at it and felt compelled to play it as much as my Slash…Gibby…..sold off a big collection ..I’m older..went to 55/over community needed the money …miss my 07 lemonburst R9 …that one but can’t have it all ..at least not I..lol…but yr take was interesting on the Lazarus…🤙🏻🤙🏻🎸

I have they suck, none of them are as bad as the neck on my old zakk wylde epiphone... it was disgustingly large

It's funny you say that because this epiphone comes with all Gibson USA electronics, Gibson USA burstbucker 2 and 3 pickups, 50s wiring, CTS pots, mallory capacitors, switchcraft jack and toggle switch

I'm only 5ft5in, no problem with that neck.I can do anything I want with that neck, love it. If you have problems with that neck you need some classical guitar lessons to learn about thumb placement. I think you just want to buy a new guitar!

yes you're right I did want to buy a new guitar... because I decided this one wasn't for me. I don't know how your height has anything to do with what neck shape you like, it's great that you love yours, but i've decided this neck shape is personally not for me. I know how to play with proper thumb placement and I still don't like the neck shape because it still aggravates my carpal tunnel and isn't as comfortable to me
