I like it. We can have a good OC that will be around instead of only around for two years. Some people are meant to be offensive coordinators and some are meant to be head coaches. Maybe he's meant to be an offensive coordinator. I think he's worth the try and we need consistency for Justin Fields. BEAR DOWN!

Justin's college numbers were great.. why? he had talent to throw to and an Offensive line. EXactly what he needs in Chicago. trading away Justin, all those picks (this year and next yr) for another great college QB on a team needing more talent makes no sense. one unknown commodity is not worth all that draft capital. Keep Justin, fleece another team like they did with carolina. also, Bryce young was called a cant miss generational talent.. look what happened to him on a team with no talent.

Yes, he had an offensive line and had a…9% sack rate instead of the 10% he has with the Bears.

It doesn't matter who the OC is if the Bears don't fix the Offensive line. Justin Fields knows already what plays are gonna work. And when his left tackle is getting beat at the line ,he knows it. He tries to do the best he can. Weve seen the Packers have Favre and Rodgers, nobody talks about the offensive line the Packers have always been known for. I guarantee you put Rodgers or Farve in Chicago their stats would not be no where near ,because they would have been running for their safety. The Bears need to put a Big Physical, Nasty offense line in front of Fields and then DJ Moore, Darnel Mooney and Cole Kmet will all have better stats, the running backs will eat up yards and the clock, Justin Fields will stay upright and the defense will be rested. That is Bear football NO FINESSE, JUST BLACK AND BLUE DIVISION FOOTBALL.

Bagent was only sacked 3.5% of his dropbacks. It went up to 11% this year with fields. Please explain why the rookie from a d2 school isn’t being sacked at league record highs?!
@brandonbass17178 ай бұрын
@theslickrips5904 JF doesn't throw wrs open, and awaits them to get open...Its as simple as that and this has been said. On the contrary, Bagent was nothing more than a dink and doink artist of whom folded under pressure and threw costly picks. The game plan or lacktehereof was dumbed down to prevent him from making crucial mistakes and he still did.
@jayvonS92148 ай бұрын
Our online has a PFF grade of 24th this year… it’s not fine. No depth and injury prone. GB historically has always kept a top 10 OLine. This year PFF grade 8th best OLine and a 2nd best playcaller according to advanced metrics. Matt LaFuck knows how to use his players and talent and scheme a good game plan. We could have and should have beat GB. I’m still salty 🧂 lmao 😂 I’m convinced Getsy was a double agent.

Yeah, that last bit of information worries me a little bit. The 3rd conversion rate scares me even more considering how good he (supposedly) is on 1st and 2nd down. Being good on the early downs should leave you in short-yardage situations on 3rd down. If he struggles to convert on 3rd and short, that's a concern. Red-zone struggles? Oh boy! That means FGs. We're not going to win a high percentage of games with a high percentage of FGs. And maybe the biggest concern is him (supposedly) struggling after the (15) scripted plays. That could be 80% of the play calls. That says to me that he may not know how to make adjustments (to what he's seeing defensively) too well. If that's true and he hasn't grown, that's a problem. Early on I was excited about the hire, now I'm middle-of-the-road to nervous about it.

We have an average and competent head coach with an average and competent OC. its not great, but it could be worse. its so sad the Bears have such low expectations. i've said it before: Ryan Poles has gotten an A for what he did with his defensive moves. he's gotten a d- on offense. Is Waldron the move that turns around all his poor offensive moves? QB: passing on CJ. keeping justin. worst back up QB. Carolina QB bust. WR: velus. scott. smith marset. pettis. trading a 2nd for claypool. OL: patrick and davis. drafting a Right tackle top 10. RB: roschon is a back up at best. his other RB is out of the league. TE: packers bust. OC: Getsy 95% of his moves have been awful or sub optimal. Poles really needs to do a 180 this off season on offense. QB, RB, Oline & WR all need upgrades. Caleb, Saquon/Swift/Draft pick/odunze, nabers, etc all need to be a part of our teams equation.
