I totally get it. When I would shoot on the C100 mkii. I would constantly get stopped by security and random ppl asking what film was I working on (and some sketch characters as well 🧐). That's one of the reasons I moved to the GH5 a few years back. Anyway the A7SIII looks like a great camera as a GH5 (and S5) user definitely would love to have 100% reliable autofocus. I love the XLR adaptor. I wish canon offered a solution like that. How is the LCD/EVF vs a7iii ? Great video btw. Also not getting the A1 due to not having flip screen

Hey buddy, thanks! Appreciate your feedback :) The LCD touch screen is nice to use now, very responsive too. The EVF is nothing revolutionary but better for sure, nice to use during the day. The A1 is interesting, I bet the next version will have a complete flip out screen

@@filmmakerali Nothing revolutionary? Until the A1 drops, the a7siii viewfinder is the best on the market. Do you mean the screen?

You might want to hold on to your receipt for the FX3 announcement next week. Supposedly has the a7siii guts but with no evf and includes s-cinetone. Either way, you can’t lose

Yes I've heard! I really like having an EVF. Sometimes I shoot during the day or don't want to be distracted by onlookers and that's when the EVF comes in handy. Looks great though regardless 😊

Agreed the Sony A7S3 is the best all around mirrorless work horse camera on the market.

Hey Eric, just seen this. The R5 is great but it's slightly pricier and would require more money for the new type memory cards. S1H would feel like home to me having used the GH4/GH5 for so long but I needed AF for talking head videos

Ali - I shoot 100% for social media in 1080. Is there a advantage with 10bit in that resolution. PS have you used the gyro stabalisation yet.

Hey Mark yes for sure, 10 bit gives you the flexibility of better grading in post. If you don't want to grade at all then 8 bit will be fine. I just finished a webinar on this in my course where I go through it in more detail

I had no issues editing any of the files out of the a7siii with the new M1 Mac and Davinci Resolve. Make sure you download the correct version from Black Magic, but it cuts through the h.265 like butter (all frame rates).

how do you find the raw between the two cameras to work with?

havnt shot raw on the sony yet, Raw workflow is much slower in general and currently after speed

Hey Trai, think they're both great cameras. My business partner is still using the EOS R but not sure on the R5 seems like the A7Siii offers more value at a lower price point?
