Hi Rocket! So glad you are able to see/care for precious Rocket…and helping Joe, diabetes is such a complex disease. I had a friend who refused to care for himself and I’d have to rush to where he was and force sugar under his tongue…he just would let himself get to that point and not want to bother anyone…I think my friend had an issue asking for help. Fortunately Joe got into that center for those other things he’s dealing with. Joe is fortunate to have you in his life. There’s a reason you both connected. The coin is a special moment for Joe. Darlene, so so so glad you have healthy boundaries and you live free from triggers/drama and you’ve learned what you don’t want!! It helps us find out about ourselves. I have learned so much from hearing about things you have learned during those dating experiences and life experiences.

What a nice treat for Rocket to be with you during this time while Joe seeks help. I appreciate Joe’s willingness to be open with your audience about his issues perhaps it will help others who may be struggling. Seems like you entered his life when he needed the support only someone like you can offer him at the exact right time. Such a shame that he has to deal with his health issues on top of everything else. Hopefully we will see more Rocket content soon.

My comment is, I get it. Even though I don't need to. Your life is up to you. Your relationship with Joe has evolved. It's different now. It's just going to be whatever it is. It may always evolve. I'm so proud of you. Everybody needs somebody sometime. I had something to happen to me about 8 years ago. I became disabled and could no longer work. My boyfriend stayed by my side and helped me. Now, we are able to get out and go hiking....slowly, but it's a start. I would have never made it without his loyalty and kindness. Now, I know what love and friendship really means. I wish you the best. Thank you for being so kind to Rocket and Joe.

Don't ever try to be less than what you are. There is nothing wrong with wanting to help others. You know your boundaries and it seems you are honoring them. Love on Rocket while you have him. He's obviously happy to be with you.

YES ! Emotional roller-coasters ! I had my brother ask to move in with me & put off 2 months b/c I know how he can be at times ! I let him & in 12 hours' time , realized he has dementia ! I had him here being his 24/7 live-in caregiver for 11 months straight w/o a break ! I Literally did everything for him except toileting & dressing ! He put me through hell emotionally ! Completely different person b/c of the dementia and the love he had for me slowly faded away ... I became the one he targeted in mean ways ! I had to have him removed from my home b/c he actually got physically abusive to me and had his fists doubled up trying to punch me all b/c I wanted to wash his bedding and give him a bath ( it had been over 2 weeks of me trying to get him to bathe & clean clothes & he was SLEEPING IN THEM W/HIS WINTER COAT ON TOO NO LESS ) ! he has that old person stink, and it was terrible ! So , I understand completely what you went through with your mother !

I love someone who battles bipolar and is an alcoholic in recovery. I completely understand what you are saying at the 8:30 mark. Joe has an extra layer of challenges with his diabetes. I hope the recovery center helps him. Even with his alcoholism and diabetes under control, balancing bipolar meds is so complicated. From one helper to another, I get you! ❤️ To Rocket

My granddaughter has to go away for a while she has bipolar and personality disorder. When she's on the meds they prescribed her she is just fine. But when she goes off she tries to harm herself. Oh and you look very pretty. Your hair looks awesome long. ❤❤

I feel for Joe my Dad was a diabetic and lost both legs. Its hard. Its nice you are helping when you can. You have a good head on your shoulders and both are adults. God Bless you and doing things to help him. Prayers for Joe. Sad. You get to see Rocket how nice.

How lucky Joe and Rocket are to have you ❤️. My husband also is diabetic and bipolar which is a chemical imbalance in the brain. It took several months to find the right medications to help. That was 16 years ago and he is doing great!! Hi Rocket boy - you’re still a cutie patootie ❤

i applaud you big time,, sometimes we have to set those boundaries and we cannot feel bad about it, i use to be so dang worried about hurting peoples feelings and never taking care of myself, i had to learn i cannot pour from an empty glass, i cant help others if i dont help myself first,, anyway you are doing a hell of a job and thank you for supporting someone that is in a tough spot and will need a support system

Darlene e the carnivore diet helped me so much. I'm diabetic. I did carnivore for e0 days straight. I kept a journal of each meal and blood sugar each day. I ate meats eggs water. It brought my sugar down.big time. I didn't have to go on any meds. My dr was amazed.
