I've been using Olympus cameras since my first OM-1 in 1977. Olympus designers are geniuses!

Oh, smart. Okay I'm stealing this. I hardly use my lens Fn button and this is a great idea for that.

I started with photography in 2010 with a Olympus E-PL1. Was aiming for another camera and brand but Olympus offered a one month try period. Never would have dreamed of the E-M1 Mark II and the lenses I now have. The lens system is so awesome, it keeps me with Olympus. It fits my needs perfectly. Big bonus is that professional grade lenses are relatively cheap compared to other systems.

One thing I appreciate about the Olympus telephoto Pro zooms is their close focus - handy when a wolf is sniffing your foot!

I love my Olympus system i can fit two bodies and 5 lenses in a 25 litre back pack. As a Type 1 diabetic this helps me haul gear as well as the supplies I need to have with me to manage blood sugar levels.
@genius1a3 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you have a good working system for going out and taking pictures! Your way of measuring the back pack size surprised me. Nice Idea! I'm a Hobby User with tight budget and size requirements. I use one E-PL10 Body and 4 small Lenses (35mm f1.8, 20 mm f1.7, 7.5 mm f2 and 40-150mm f4-5.2). It all fits in my 3 litre hardcase, that I put into my rucksack in addition to other supplies. The new E-P7 and the 17mm f1.8 are on my wish List, because they would give me a huge upgrade (two dials and more lightweight body, better manual focusing for filming on the lens) and still perfectly fit into my small hardcase.

I switched from Nikon to Olympus for Wildlife Photography. The image quality und light weight are superb! OM-D EM 1 M III, 40-150/2.8 and 300 / 4.0 + TC 1.4 are always stored in my rucksack. Let's hope, the next Camera has improved AF-S and a better Viewfinder we will continue to shoot with Olympus Gear.

The best advice Tesni is to watch and observe your subject and try to understand its behavior, before shooting and making connection with the subject, I believe this is the name of the game. Furthermore, the use of the Focus Limiter in Olympus is another very good tip for wide life photography.

First time I have viewed your presentation. I enjoyed your down to earth style and loved your images. Still waiting for my 150 - 400pro and like you I will partner it with my EM 1X but, I shall continue to use my EM1 Mk 2 to carry my much loved 300pro. Thanks 🙏

Image quality via Pro glass on larger sensors is sweet but portability is very attractive..especially getting older.

Olympus, is there a way to connect and sync the Em1 with a LS100 over USB? This is something I have wanted and occasionally revisit trying to do but have just never been able to get it to work.
@ridealongwithrandy3 жыл бұрын
Yes there is, but I have not been able to remote start the LS100 via the camera. I did it once, but after LS100 and camera firmware update, no more ...

i started photography just few years ago, i buy a lumix gx80 and i remember my frends proffessional photographer tel me this: dude this captor is to small for real photography.... i think 2 years and finaly i take my choice olympus em1 mk3 this is just a perfect gear!! and a zuiko pro lens is magnificient 40-150 , 45 and 25 is just pur happyness. my firend try my gear and he told me who!! dude this is a real gear!! and the weight is just crazy! i'm a canon fan but if i need to change my gear i take olympus! ps:sorry for my bad english (france).

I started with a GX80 too! It's not too bad, but struggles with low to mid-light wildlife shots finally persuaded me to look elsewhere. Currently waiting on an Olympus E-M1X to arrive.

I wanted to be an Olympus ambassador but they told me I was in the United States and I didn't have an accent. When I told them that I was the only Wildlife photographer in the area, probably the last one in my area that used Olympus, they said: "Too bad. We are concentrating on Cell Phones and Medical instruments... would you like to be our laryngoscope ambassador?" I passed. I think the reason Olympus fell out of favor is because they are very smart and didn't join the FF train. They understood video, IS and affordable glass better than anyone. Great color science. But when larger companies are out hustling against each other... they got lost in the fight like that little guy in Game of Thrones. I hope you can build with this brand.. Its been a favorite of mine since 1979.

you didn't reply to comments but incase if i ask which camera and lens you use in this video? iam sure you will not reply..
@GavinHoey3 жыл бұрын
If you mean which camera and lens did I use to record the video, it was a couple of Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II's with a 45mm F1.2 and a 40-150mm F2.8 Of course if you mean what lens / camera does Tesni use, it's an E-M1X with either a 300mm or 40-150mm Pro lens.
