Phil isn't a clown...He's the whole Circus. The audacity of shouting at his 'fans' to give him more money for his day off and then to call his limp game play a full time job is insane. Reality cant come quick enough to hit him in the face. But as always great video dude. Nothing brings people together more than mutual hatred of another.

He's not entitled to have a meal out with his wife every week. That's an option not a requirement. If you ain't got the money to eat out then you cook a meal at home and that's it. The entitlement that comes out of Phil is off the charts.
@wombawomba96872 жыл бұрын
That's the main thing he always brings up like it's the one and only thing that keeps the relationship together. In his ignorant mind eating out on a restaurant is a sign of success and cooking your own food is a sign of failure, similar to why he never ever would and could consider living in an apartment instead of a house

found DSP a few years back after searching for dead rising 1 lets plays, as I like seeing how other people play my favorite game. it was enjoyable watching someone so utterly inept and unable to adapt at all. then TIHYDP started popping up on my home page. followed by detractor channels, then the DTRH vid etc... found wings thru the dsp lolcow connection. then lastly found LTG, who honestly I know a lot of people like LTG, so I don't find him as much of a enigma as the other 2. this is also how I even know who keem is, still haven't watched any of his vids, same with onlyusemeblade who is just a fucked up individual, and lastly PKA. god, this has been one hell of a ride the past few years uncovering all this shit I had no idea existed. First off and i think i speak for the majority here on the channel that iam happy you overcame your doubt and left your mark on the DSP lore cause the most important thing a lolcow like Phil needs is an opposition cause every actions of Phil needs a proper reaction from as many people as possible not to create the biggest possible audience for the creator itself but for the cost itself and that is showing the truth of ever lying internet e-beggar or similar trades cause imo this topic will never end. Just like the circle of detractor: First feeling pity for a person after doing or saying stupid shit, then getting deeper into the subject and understanding how much bs is behind ever single person in the category and finally wanting to stop the shit those people do by voicing the truth those people will never give out. So thanks Mortis and keep on doing your stuff until we can happily sa that the chapter DSP has ended for good (hopefully before Phil passes away so he will not be remembered as a martyr).

I’ve always wanted to make video essays or podcasts on just whatever may be interesting me at the time, whether it be games, manga, lolcows, etc.. The main thing preventing me, besides procrastination, is that I hate my voice when I play it back. I find myself trying to tweak my voice in certain ways and end up sounding even stranger. I’ll then get flustered & embarrassed at how I think my voice sounds, so I always scratch whatever it is I’m doing. Hell, I do that when I try to do a little Snapchat video or something when I speak. Always takes me several drafts before I can just accept it, and it murders my self-esteem when it comes down to it.

I used to be a decently big fan of DSP. I legitimately loved his sense of humour. Sure, he sucked at the games he played, but I was able to look past that because I found HIM entertaining. But the one single thing that turned it all around was John and Howard's talk on him. After I found out about that, I started finding out all kinds of other shit I was ignorant to beforehand. And I immediately unfollowed him completely.

It's really interesting to see new detractors growing each day from multiple people. I hate to admit it but he was my first youtuber back in 2010. A guy who used to make videos named Free1Up had a challenge for DSP on SF4, ever since then I liked the large amount of coverage and inviting friends over to play. It was such a cool thing even though alone I roll my eyes whenever he does solo commentary. I fell off when he played Snake Eater because he blocked me for defending my favorite game, then definitively when he swapped to capture card with the most dumest comments on Super Mario 3D World with being amazed on what you can do since Mario 64. Then randomly on a PS3 youtube recommendation I saw someone archiving his streams and it was for the Amazing Spider-Man 2 in the middle of 2010, then I followed the detractors, then the infamous SoK then I fell off again, then here I am now. It amazes me how much entertaining detractor videos there are now a decade later. I can tell stories on what he does back in the day that no one brings up, such as the time he said the N word on Heavy Rain and he said in the comments his black friend died for whatever reason and didn't say sorry that he said the N word. Also ever since Duke Nukem Forever 2001 got leaked, I remember that he was a massive fanboy of what got released and how delusional he was and brought up game media is a shit show, like yeah of course you bring up game journalists for easy points but that doesn't have to mask the fact that Duke Forever 2011 was a shitty game. I think it was a long the lines of "It's a mix of classic and modern gameplay, and I played it on PC max settings.." 1. It wasn't classic at all and 2, how the hell did he not notice those sharp elbows some female models even on "max settings."

I hope you continue and find more niche things to talk about, cuz it's always fun to hear a new little event that happened. Funnily enough, I'm exactly one week younger than Phil and while we are very different people, we also have a lot of similarities where if I weren't so self aware, I could be just like him. My history: I remember seeing DSP's gameplay videos on the front page of KZbin back in like 2008/2009 and watched some of them. He was terrible at games, but his videos were decent for the time and his sense of humor could hit every now and then. But I never really followed him. When I got seriously into the FGC when SF4 came out (after playing casually as a kid back in the 90's) I found out about the Evo 2005 story and then all the craziness about Phil. Now I watch a few of the detractor channels and enjoy watching the trainwreck that is DSP's life.

I remember feeling the same way about DSP when I discovered him. I felt bad for him like "so he's bad at video games and he asks for donations and tips. Don't all KZbinrs do that in someway? Asking for a sub, or for you to buy their merchandise isn't that different from what Phil is doing" I didn't understand why he was hated. Then I watched down the rabbit hole. I actually imagine the Detractors would be The Angles And Heavenly saints that cast DSP Lucifer down from KZbin Gamer Heaven (Who do you think would be up there in Heaven if their are KZbin gamers in Heaven that accepted Jesus as their savior)! Since Lucifer (Aka...... Satan) was an utter jackass in every sense of the word (At Least DSP isn't as evil or malicious as Satan himself) and did get removed from Heaven! If anything! I only knew of DSP through the fgc stuff and didn't hate him. I mean I knew he acted like an asshat, but I just chalked it up to him playing a heel and being competitive. I even got my first stick (Hori RAP 3) after watching him review it. What made me be a 'tractor was not the fappening, or the salt (it was entertaining, a positive imo) but the constant begging and preying upon the good will of people, and that entitlement.
@OathKeeperRiku072 жыл бұрын
I tihnk it helps we want more people to talk of DSP and find their own footing, expect other low cow communities where they'll hate you for joining the bandwagon or the slight infighting they have to others. I don't like how I sound either, but I still do videos with my voice. It helps we don't want another SOK, a group doing shady things to be the only ones who make DSP content monetized, or Mannix, who showed his true colors in what content he makes and paywalls his DSP content. people do burn themselves out fast, with Robyn and Zephpr and LSB, others use reacting to DSP video to springboard into other things as well.

I remember back when youtube first came out (I'm younger then phil by 6 years), and I remember when I kept seeing DSP videos pop up. He's not wrong about being the first of the big playthrough/walkthrough channels, sort of, but it didn't take long for me to be annoyed by his personality as I know someone that's like him in real life. Narcissists are human garbage. Anyway, yeah I got REAL sick of seeing his videos, because he pumped out tons of them every day, all the quality of garbage, and I slowly stopped paying attention to him. I don't know why, but about 2 years ago I decided to look up and see what happened to him, and well, I can't say I was surprised. One thing I can say, never feel bad for the pig, he made these choices. Also big ups and congrats on your channel
