also, oberon 2nd hallowed ground grant immunities against status like bleed, toxin, magnetic and knockdown which's the most reason of why you got down in hard mission, also with armor strip rework now oberon 4th reckoning only require 165% ability strength for stripping all the enemy armor and you can also use equilibrium since oberon 4th also drop health orb. with that you have all the utility to survive in hard mission, while oberon is not the best for performing specific things, he did do all the things. armor stripping, nyx is the best and a lot of frame also do this easily status immunities, titania spellbound + augment not only give status immunities also drop energy, ALSO ROLLING GUARD EXIST healing, trinity, WISP RESERVOIR, etc yeah any other warframe with same capabilities do the same thing easier and some even more stronger and effective, but oberon do all the thing in single warframe

Yeah, when I replicated my Saryn buff-build onto Oberon when the Archon Hunts arrived, for the radiation damage buff from Smite Infusion, one of the first things I realised was his 3, 300+% strength and you're nigh invincible.

I like nezha for similar reasons. Nezha is tanky, Aug is one of the best defense abilities for a non defense frame. Can remove status effects, his disk can make enemies take more damage allowing for amazing boss shredding. Seeing how his kit is built you can choose to make his abilities shredded enemies or make his debuff allow for insane damage

Yeah I’m a nexus main to I run a Tanky build and use roar on him and replace his first ability then I’m a Tanky speedy boy with extra damage from roar then you can throw chakram for even more damage if you want you can use spears to spread the chakras even more

Problem is without your shield up, you can't shield gate one shots. The other issue I've had is that ancient disruptors and eximus nullifiers are much more threatening when you're relying on your renewal to keep you alive. Still one of my favorite frames, but not nearly as unkillable at higher difficulties as the good ol' days.

Yeah imo his renewal should give him shield on kill for him and ally, it would fit his support/defensive role better, overall he's still a solid frame, just overshadow by the meta

I main Oberon, but I use him like a glass canon. Just a bit above 200% PS (with Molt Augmented), high range usually high efficiency, and usually low duration. I'll melt if I'm careless, but Renewal still lets me take burst of damage pretty frequently. I like needing to avoid damage to survive, but a lack of healing means I need to play very slow and cautious, particularly in longer missions. I love Oberon for giving me that healing alongside other tools to be able to deal high damage

As a Oberon main, I prefer him as the support of the team. I replace his 1 with Nourish or Roar to give a extra dmg buff. With his 2 you can make your teammates inmune to status effect. His 3 gives you life regen, armor and with augment you can negate fatal damage on your teammates. His 4 can shred the armor of the enemies. Wisp is great too because his plants give you heal + healing, velocity buff and a stagger effect, also have invisibility with her passive, invincibility with his 2, his 3 is one of the best abilities to see big numbers of damage and his 4 is the subsume slot. So you can use whatever you want but in terms of supporting the team I think Oberon wins cause all of his abilities are mainly focused in help your teammates.

Umbra your excal, put a blue archon shard with HP regen, use a healer vulpaplyla. remember to block and taunt with the taunt mod in your normal melee (not exalted blade) so your vulpha doesnt eat all the shots and stay dead forever, then remember to kill enemies to heal it back. arcane guardian, adaptation, primed continuity, hunter adrenaline and exalted blade augment. with this, and a fire/corrosive build on your blade with combo stackers on your normal melee you can easily oneshot from combo zero, while tanking in steel path solo without hassle, as long as you use the blocking mechanic. ¿why block? if you block with the taunt mod on your normal melee, you will taunt with your exalted blade, therefore your vulpaphyla wont get shot, so he will be able to create a regen pool from all the enemies to let you tank any horde like its the tutorial. also builds up your combo multiplier, and because youre taunting the enemies, youre getting more shots so your combo multiplier stacks quite quick, therefore increasing your damage. ¿why HP regen on archon shard? you just need 1, and your vulpaphyla can still die sometimes, which will cancel its massive heal, with this +5 or +7.5hp/s youll have something to back you up while your vulpa comes back up. umbra excal is godly and fun to use this way, but can tire you quick.

how to oberon step by step from a 7 year oberon main: 1. augment for 1st ability (gives damage). 2. adaptation, arcane guardian, hunter adrenaline and at least 199% str. 3. dont forget to step on your floor after regen buff (gives armor). 4. ultimate is shit, helminth it with literally anything else. 5. laugh at inaros. 6. pair with nidus for the lulz. tips: -floor can PARRY purple eximus thing. -floor can distract enemies so hard they will barely pay attention to you (ADHD Simulator 2035). -1st ability with no agument proves to be useless everytime. -floor is not for damage. -its not a caster warframe, but a melee/shooter. -nekros's shadows will DESTROY your energy. -regen buff is like a "wisp flower", but invisible, and will keep giving the buff back without the need of recasting in case of losing it if anyone passes through such specific area, which can be increased by Range%, and nullifiers can break this invisible thing just like a "wisp flower" (this used to need recasting every single time in the past, but DE fixed this recently). -if you need more resistance, just stand on your floor, youll be surprised on how much damage those status procs were actually doing to you now that they're all gone, Hyekka Masters, Nox, infected gasifiers, fire/magnetic eximus and such are now a joke. -if you cant heal enough, just JUMP, thats the whole secret, thank me later (im dead serious).

​@@VitchAndVorty imagine not helmithing it for a better one and changing your whole build to a weaker one instead. in my whole time using him, i might have tried to build him along with his ult at least 40 times, theres just not enough mod slots to make it worth the effort. but why? i mean, yeah, it strips armor, it can get enemies from 100 to 0 in a second! well no, actually what youre doing is staying still and being stuck in a long animation after wasting a ton of energy on being unable to defend yourself, and then finding out the orbs have no use for you because you heal back up in an instant, and also they didnt spawn since the ult cant kill them at high levels, and to put the last nail on the coffin, it doenst work in around 2 out of 3 factions since 90% of infested and corpus dont even have armor to begin with, also nullifiers, gas clouds, and a pletora of stuff they can place on your feet or just snipe you while you levitate 3 randomly chosen mobs for like 7 seconds cause you had no luck catching them right even with range. if you wanna strip armor really that bad on an AoE, just swap it for ember's helmith, lasts far less, applies fire twice in huge ticks, covers a bigger area by default and after stripping the armor, enemies stay paralized in an "on-fire" animation, making them vulnerable instead of you, also, fire procs remove 50% armor while active, so there you go. alternatives are wisp's for nuking rooms with the floor, ash's for slaying dangerous objectives removing all of their armor, in a much cheaper, faster way and also at a farther range without needing to build any range at all, and helminth empowerment. as a final note, nothing here strips you from the divine right of free will, and you can still go and play it ult-only on a 12 hour survival if you want, and i would absolutely love to see it. cheers.
