Depression was one of the reasons why I left Germany behind and moved to Northern Sweden. As a highly sensitive person trying to build up an own business and making money in the Swedish countryside, I can tell you that everything in life can just be so overwhelming and the easiest things can make life hard.
I hope I can give you some inspirations for your own life journey 💫✨

You are a very courageous and authentic young woman! I sense that the sensitivity that you are describing is link to being 'Gifted'! Please google : traits of a gifted child ,and traits of gifted adults! Greetings & a big hug from a Berliner that used to vacation in Denmark with my family as a child and took trips to Sweden! I live for almost 40 years in the USA and it has not been easy!!

If you live out in the country in your own house, there are chores you have to, things can broke and you have to maintain the house. It´s life. If you live remote you have to take all the things that comes with it and be prepared it´s your choice and responsibility, Sweden has nothing to do with it, it´s you.

Your 5 years have been a tough reality-check for you! You sure have grown in independence and stamina. I'm glad you took a Swedish course before you moved to Sweden. Even if many Swedes know English and understand quite a lot, for most who learned English at school, it does not feel relaxed to talk in English, one struggles to find the words, and one feels dishonest and strange, when one can't express what one wants to share - the communication is not fluent and clear, as in Swedish when speaking in English, the nuances tend not to come out right. It is so awkward for Swedes who tend to be very honest, beyond "how do yo do?" If you want to feel more at home in Sweden, do learn more Swedish, as we have enough lonely people who would love to have a friend. Many people are HSP also in Sweden, so if you would like to be understood on that level, the possibility is there. I think it was a good step to come out as one. Hope a like-minded spirit will contact you asap! 🙂 Otherwise there is Röda Korsets väntjänst, google that, it is a good starting point. All the best wishes!

@@fjallsken Sure, and you have a right to your boundaries and the rest you need. Even introverts need a few real relationships. Hope they will come your way, now that you have opened up to the possibility. Life tends to be like that.🙂 Ruminate a bit over different possibilities to make enough money to make your preferred life-style work: develop ideas around suggestins like - could you offer German translations to small Swedish businesses who would like to have German customers, tourists or on-line; - could you offer one (!) parking slot for one camping van on your property for female tourists every second week; - if you like pets, could you take in one shy, kind pet at the time for a short time when the owners need a little help with the care; - could you pick wild mushrooms (tratt-kantareller), dry them whole and sell them; - could you crochet blankets at times when you need to think your own thoughts, and sell them at crafts-markets - it is easy to put up a stand on market-days (google you municipality) - incomes from hobbies are tax-free in Sweden, - btw: you do allow wood to dry before you try to saw or chop them for burning? - could you continue to live frugally, simply, and make a little pocket-money by combining some ideas like these? I recommend inspiring ideas from KZbinr 'Prepper princess' and others. You are are creative, you will come up with something practical, when you let you dreams take their time and work on it. Maybe you'll write a story about a brave little girl in the 1800-hundreds who with her little magical cat survives in the woods, like a Robinson, after she escaped mean fosterparents - read just a little about Harry Martinson's early childhood and the way Sweden then solved the problem with poor orphan children, by hiring them out to the lowest bidder. Shudder! Let your heroine escape such a destiny... just an idea! You might have better ones! All the best wishes!

Yes one needs to take care of day to day life no matter where one lives….conquer life’s burdens, pay bills, make a living. That’s a given and needs to be accepted no matter who you are. The environment one lives in and one’s surroundings however play a supportive part in one’s success and perspective of one’s own existence. Some feel most comfortable in big cities with lots of people around…others dread it….some feel at home where the sky is open and the wind blows through the trees and lets one breathe; others feel too isolated… one must find what feels most like “home” to their heart and learn how to thrive and live day to day in that environment. If one has found the place that makes their heartstrings ping, and can actually be fortunate enough to call it home, then they are privileged above the many. There really isn’t much else for them to do but Accept and be grateful for the beautiful gift which has embraced them. ❤❤❤…and yes Work is good for the soul… big hugs… remember you don’t know how strong you can be, until you can be nothing but strong….all will work out…step by step…day by day

Hi. Can say it was as if it were me sitting there. I am totally just as sensitive and have always felt wrong and everything in the world was not right. Here I mean the way people live as slaves to the system. You have to fit into a box or you're just awkward and weird. I've been a rebel since I was little and still am. Had 3 children who are all grown up now and great they are all thriving. But I don't. Have tried living 6 kilometers inside a forest but unfortunately had to move as it was a limited contract of a few years. Now for 11 years I live down to the North Sea and the fjord with a nature reserve, A small peninsula, but they have destroyed everything with wind turbines 1500 meters from my house which cause stress and tinnitus, Mega gravel pit also close by that makes noise around the clock. About to give up and want to move out of here as soon as I can find something and have enough money. I can follow you all the way, feel you in my soul because I see and feel everything. Have helped many in life because of my ability. I'm looking in Sweden for something but have become cautious now that this place has been totally destroyed. But nice to listen to you and you are thoroughly a lovely lovable person. I wish you the very best going forward and take good care of yourself and your energy. Will follow you as I feel a soulmate. Have a great time. many loving thoughts and greetings from Liv Maria. Denmark.😊❤🙏🌻🍀🦋

@@fjallsken Thank you for your kind words. well, it has also been difficult with children and, not to lie, I took a boy into care when he was 10 years old and would otherwise have ended up in an orphanage until adulthood. But he was mostly with me and my son, who was the same age. The girls were adults there. Today he is a trained pavers and works in construction. Yes, the world is being destroyed and I am so angry about it, the government does what suits them without the opinion of the people. Can you have a good weekend and hope you have good weather because here it is almost not summer. More like autumn, with rain and rain. Needs warmth and the sun before we have to go through an autumn and long winter. Big hug from me Liv Maria.🙂

If you are able to, visit Sweden in any other month than July, rent a cottage for as long as you can afford, and look around, and even ask locals, when you find a spot you like. You can google if there are busses, and important shops, and what you need. Many people here think it is a pity that cute cottages become delapidated because nobody lives in them and takes care of the yearly maintenance. Cottages might come without indoor plumbing, WC, and electricity. That's tough, but cheaper. The more remote the place, the more expensive the groceries are, and the cost for travel is high, too. In general Sweden even in towns, is a very expensive country, Finland and Norway are even more expensive, and Denmark is a bit cheaper in some respects, but not all. If you know Swedish and have an exam as a teacher or something medical, you can easily find jobs in these branches, you just have to be suitable and show your legitimation and a certificate from the Police.

@@DNA350ppm Thank you. This was informative. My present incertitude regards also the question of where to begin? I mean, Sweden is huge and for someone who knows nothing about it, the virtually infinite choices appear all equivalent. People mostly talk about big cities or tourist attractions, that is, precisely what I would like to avoid. I look for a place where the beauty of Nature is more dominant than modern amenities. For example, the lifestyle as portrayed in this channel. But, for the time being, I look forward only to a personal one-month holiday trip and then see how it feels. So, I plan first a round trip to the southern-middle Sweden rather than staying only in one place, to look around what and where it feels better. If it is really *the thing* I’m looking for, then, eventually, I may consider moving there and buying a house in the coming years. But, as I said, meanwhile I have no clue from the geographical standpoint where to begin and what kind of round trip to pursue other than a random walk. Some suggest the Vildmarksvägen, but that sounds to me more like natural parks sightseeing rather than a tour looking for a place where to live. Therefore, any suggestions and reports of personal experiences are welcome! 😊

@@The-Wide-Angle OK - I guess you know the touristic parts of Sweden are near huge water, that is the whole east coast towards the Baltic Sea, and the whole South and West coast, the four biggest seas, Mälaren, Hjälmaren, Vänern, and Vättern. Småland is special and beautiful, and if just starting randomly, why not visit Sävsjö, Vrigstad, Fjugesta, Tiveden, Vetlanda, Gislaved... A few miles from each one of them you have either wilderness or rural landscapes, always a lot of smaller waterscapes everywhere. Each municipality tends to have a website, so search and you'll find information - when cycling or driving around you can find all kinds of information at local libraries, which can have very varied and sometimes limited opening hours. They traditionally are information-centers. Do learn Swedish, as much as you are able to. There are many free resources for that on the internet. All the best wishes!

@@The-Wide-Angle it depends on what you are looking for. Southern Sweden is a beautiful rural and flat area with a lot of fields and old farm houses. The area where I live is beautiful because of the forests, hills and river valleys and when I lived up north in Abisko I enjoyed the pure rough wilderness with mountains 😊

Yes, so good, we tell that to our kids a lot, as that is a common Swedish saying, often coupled with: det finns inget dåligt väder, bara fel kläder.
