I think we ALL _needed_ a Eurovision break after THAT season! Very traumatic final few days of the Eurovision week! I’m glad we were all able to move on to the next season in the end but there are still questions and issues the EBU need to address for this coming season to ensure the same thing does not happen.

I am very happy to see you back, I always love your Eurovision analysis. So what's got me excited about Eurovision, well a few weeks back my favourite ESC artist and my all time favourite singer Michał Szpak,who sang for Poland in 2016 said in an interview that he had been asked to submit a song and was talking to the producers of Tattoo, I don't really expect him to do this but the idea just made my heart beat faster . When this news came out many people in a Eurovision fan group I'm in on FB tagged me and it made me feel so loved.

Eurovision gives us a natural 3-6 month break. Dont feel bad about taking time out, even if was abrupt. Mental health is so important. I know you aren't the only KZbinr who found it tough. I totally understand you. I was so upset with all the negativity around Eurovision 2024 that I spent all these months without anything Eurovision related. Even when KZbin suggested something Eurovision related, I got all these awful feelings back and I was just angry by the mere suggestion. Now I still cannot see 2024 entries or even less discuss it but at least I went to see older Eurovision stuff to slowly get back to it again. It is an ongoing healing process. completely get this. I was so incredibly excited about esc 2024 (as you can see on my channel) but eurovision week was just exhausting and sucked nearly all the fun out of it. I have barely even listened to any of the songs since. hoping for an equally strong year with none of the drama. I also think I will be a lot less active in online eurovision spaces to preserve my sanity, though your videos always cheer me up!

Certainly when the annual DVD arrives usually helps cure the depression a bit but this year I struggled to rewatch without being reminded of the negativity. I actually thought it would’ve been better if the week ended after Semi 2 but I was excited to still see what would happen in the final anyway.

Great to see you back ! I totally get why you needed a long break, I think many of us had this off-feeling about the final contest day that all left us with a weird taste in our mouth. It was almost a total anti-climax for me. I had prepared a lot of things for the final day and I really had to pull myself together to eventually do it all like making the snacks etc... It was just too much drama my heaad couldn't handle, and the biggest reason for that is that I think I was very invested in this year's contest, I don't know why exactly, but that really backfired. On top of that my favorite song ending in last place really put some extra salt in the wound. But time heals, I listened to my favorite songs of this year quite a lot, but pretty sure the 2023 songs are the ones that got my spirit back for 2025. I'm hopeful, but I will try to be a little bit less invested this time 😅

welcome back! we were missing you:) As for eurovision season, I think it is getting better and better each year, if you put aside the situation in the world, which also does impact the Eurovision. I dont blame those people, that`s how the world is. General trends and issues, especially those related to humanitarian crisis will always prevail over songs and dances. I think the best way to react to this for loyal Eurovision fans is just wait for better times. Hope they will come in 2025. But back to song contest, last year there was literally not a single bad song at all. The competition was incredible. And I expect the same for the next year. Really looking forward to see the entries of: France - they try hard each year lately, sending good entries, obviously wanting to bring the show to Paris. Maybe they will have better luck this year. Australia - i think they will also try hard to win eurovision at their 10th anniversary. Croatia - maybe they will try to take a sort of revenge and get their "stolen" victory back this year? Italy, Ukraine, Sweden - as always, one of the most expected eurovision countries to see, because the quality and stability their offer each year is incredible. However, it is hard to maintain that level during a long time. Maybe this year we will have a surprise non-qualifier from Ukraine or Sweden? (although I dont believe that)

Great to see you again ❤ I’m optimistic as long as the EBU backs up its new rules and has already thought about how it treats delegation/s trying to get around the rules through loopholes. I wish there was a bolder statement that states all form of baiting/goading are banned and will lead to disqualification, in particular the new back stage filming without permission rule if I’ve understood it correctly it can be gamed, in that if you give permission to be filmed another delegation could try to get filmed in the background and then “claim” they were a victim of unwanted filming when in fact they did it deliberately to be able to complain about the filming unfairly.

Well, I've been watching ESC since 2016 and have dedicated a lot of time keeping up with the slightest piece of news about the contest. It was the event I used to wait for the most in a year - more than my birthday actually. But the mess we had this year definitively disguted me from watching the contest again. I'm fed up with all the hypocrisy from the EBU, from the fanbase I will keep on watching your videos, though. But I wish your passion for ESC not to be spoiled by dramas as has been the case with me

I think the real problem last year wasn't EBU as some might think but the fans. So I am still concerned about next year and I am worried that it won't change for the better. When a 20 year old girl could only leave her hotel accompanied by security because of serious threats to life and her performance could hardly be heard because of the boos, it was about the fans. It was about those who claim to know what is right and what is not. And televote proved that this all really happened inside a bubble which existed for only a few days but left much damage.

I get excited about the continued quality of the Finnish entries in UMK. The NFC100 showed how many good songs it has produced and hopefully continues so. Greek national final too will be an interesting change. Of course, living in UK brings hopes of finally getting a decent result. I particularly like your song rating videos with points given to lyrics etc. separately.

Fans in general and EBU need to get it together for the 2025 edition. It can't be like it was this year. If some countries and delegations don't agree that a certain Middle Eastern country participates again in 2025, they should just withdraw now instead of competing all the same but then behaving like bullies and high-schoolers towards the artist who represents said country. If you can't deal with that, don't enter the contest. ESC needs to be about music only. I know it's just wishful thinking and that ESC has always been political, but let the politics talk in the voting only, since it's inevitable. Don't bring politics to the stage, to the backstage, to the fandom.
