@@theduckgoesmoo To be fair, Elden Ring is one of the easier games made by the people who make Dark Souls, if you've learnt the movements of the bosses by just beating them once, they really don't pose much of a challenge unless if you add some extra challenge to it yourself.

The reason some attacks don't connect is because the "Roll" move has invincibility-frames, making the player invincible to attacks for a certain amount of the roll-animation. Also, you keep all armor and weapons when you die, Doug was just dropping everything when he dies because he hates himself.

It wasnt a game feature that he lost items, it was his own rule to delete everything each death, keep in mind, many items (most of the best, and all of the easy to get) are a single instance per prestige loop. So once its gone, thats it

Games like Elden Ring, Dark Souls and others like that have beautiful yet sad stories to them that I put up with the difficulty just to read item descriptions and learn about the worlds of these games. Seriously I would legitimately go through the toughest enemies in these games just to read about stuff as simple as a doll or a needle and it would drastically change how I look at the world.

9:40 CAT What actually happens when you die is you keep your weapons but you lose your souls you collected, which are used to level up your character & stats, you have a chance to run back to the spot you died to get them back but if you die again before that they're lost forever & you gotta start over from scratch

You don’t actually lose weapon when you die but you can choose to trash weapon in the menu

Most weapons are viable in Dark Souls and Elden Ring, so the Club is actually a fine weapon, even potentially great depending on your build. Main reason is that there isn't a requirement to switch weapons later on, so you can very well stick with your starting equipment (you still need to upgrade though).

Elden Ring is easier then Dark Souls but still not particularly easy. It's much easier without whatever Doug does to it.

@flopper748 I think fan perspective on Elden Ring is skewed when it comes to difficulty. Comparing the games, arguably, Dark Souls 3 is easier than any other. But because we, the fans, have been trained since 2011 on these games, Elden Ring merely feels like a continuation of the difficulty, rather than a drop or increase. Also, Elden Ring's difficulty spike is much more drastic than any other game except maybe Dark Souls 1 when you gone past Anor Londo, but that's more because of bad level design than anything.

my brother is a Souls fanatic he knows all the lore for all dark souls, bloodbourne, demon souls, and elden ring. he thought id be 100% ass at any souls game but i beat DS1&3 without issue and Sekiro was easy as hell to me but he got his ass whooped by lady butterfly 😂

from what I have seen of Elden ring, that is a setting in the game, that you can Leave a body where your stuff will be or Loos the items on your body at death. But only for the items equipped to your body
