my mom says that these treatments only look good the first time... she said after the second time ( retouch ) your hair gets straighter n you loose the curl ... she said its because its impossible to not over lap ... n even if you dont overlap she said when you rinse the chemical out it runs off touching the other processed part so thats why eventually it will loosen the curl ... she used to put jerry curl in my dads hair 😂 back in the day... n she said noticed it loosening and men wear hair short but theyd have to shave they heads every once and awhile to start over and grow it out to gdt a fresh one put in cuz thats the look they want. So i just feel like its not a long term hairstyle and not meant for long hair cuz curls change n dont look as nice in the beginning after a while... now it makes sense why our aunties and etc would always wear it short because you gotta cut it after long term maintenance, ends always turn straight 🤷🏾♀️ thanks for video 😉

I noticed this with other Gina Curl videos. It's so interesting to see, because the natural hair of women before the curly perm always looks so much better to me. But I just love big kinky-curly, coily hair.

Well not always sometimes it's the professional who do it should wait till your hair grown out more before they retouch when you put chemicals in your hair make sure you use alot of treatment for breakage I Jerry curls my hair n it been one year and couple months now it is really tall n pretty the curls look pretty n prettier each time I retouch it it also depends on d type of curls you got n the products you use in your hair sometimes the products that you use when you hair is natural can't use when you get a curly perm

The reason why it became thin is because you had a straight relaxer in your hair. It’s bad to just switch over chemicals. If you wanna swap chemicals your suppose to do the big chop FIRST AND THEN get a curly perm. Curly perms only work well on natural hair

Mine is definitely the opposite... My natural hair is 4c and it thin real bad ... Gave me bald spots and I was natural for 8yrs .. over time it got terrible and I could never wear my real hair. I had to always cover it with weaves, wigs, etc. On top of that my hair felt like crap and I never put heat in it. The curly perm (wave nouveau curl) is thickening my hair back.. it's soft and feel great and growing nicely. My hair loves moisture and I'm not that person to keep my 4c hair wet. My hair dries fast as ever. I would have to keep moisturizing 3 times a day. However, with the curly perm it stays moisturized. I love it So Much! The best decision I made regarding my hair. Now I can wear my real hair instead of covering it up. 💜💜💜

But in the end you still had to change your hair to wear it so technically it’s not your REAL hair. Your real hair is 4c

I got a curl basically my whole life. Sounds like your stylist just didn’t know what they were doing 🤷🏽♀️. Mine grew. Never lost edges. Never got thin. Never got “looser” curls as time went by. Cost 70-80 every 3 months. My new growth wasn’t a issue bcuz I have/had 3b/c hair naturally.

what kind of curly perm do you get?
@annamira1193 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'd also be interested to know what kind of curly perm you got. Was it the wave nouveau? And why did you get curly perms if you already have 3b/c hair naturally?
@chynayucee99033 жыл бұрын
Your natural hair is already curly..uou didn't need the curly perm at all...its for some of us with spongy strong, afro hair.

If your stylist didn’t want to do it and specialize in it that sounds like a red flag. BUT…than u said the straight ends and the thinning…it sounds like she was over processing your hair slowly and probably didn’t know what she was doing. Most jehri curls grow and retain thickness when done right.
